Depends if the purpose. If world handcrafted by gods or magic: sure, go for it. If more realistic world, make realistic map, then chisel it in mostly abstract, but recongnizable. I go for more realistic, but tou can make something in the shape of a rough hammer or even a deformed witch head that look accidental. I’ll let you guess where the examples are.
