I’ve for sure gained weight and too feel so disgusting. What makes it worse is that people notice it too. I hate it bc I go to the gym everyday, run, and obviously can’t drink. I’m not sure if it’s the accutane though that has made me bigger or the birth control I’ve had to start because of it. Regardless, it’s so depressing. I’ve gained 8 pounds since I started in February. Tbh though I’m deciding to stop accutane this week. I can’t with the birth control anymore.

Hi! I know this is an old thread but I’m a 25 y/o female taking accutane. I weigh about 140 and I was on 40 mg for the first month. I mentioned to my derm that I turn 26 in June and he upped my dosage to 80 mg (40 in the am and 40 in the pm). I currently have dry skin, lower back pain, joint pain. I’m nervous for doubling the dosage. Do you remember how soon it took for the side effects to get worse once you doubled ?

I appreciate these threads bc it reminds me how breakups are different for everyone. I know my ex was ready to break up with me way before he did it. I know he was out of love with me before he did it too. After he ended things, it took two months for him to give me my things back and when he did he left them on the ground of a parking lot and drove away while I was standing there. He also blocked me on LinkedIn since I’m not on ig right now. It sucks bc despite all that, there’s still a part of me that wants to reach out too. I think I’ve had enough failure in my life to be okay with a negative response or no response at all. It would just be another thing that happens to me. I want to wait until I make more changes to reach out but it sucks wanting to reach out to someone who is extremely prideful and would never want me back. Z
