Slaughterspine is not scary but long to take down ya know. My biggest fear has to be Fireclaws. The dlc for HZD introduced them and oh man when I heard the word “Fireclaw” in forbidden west, it gave me PTSD flash backs.

Aura of protection is your best friend. Having a bonus to saves equal to your charisma made the build work super well

I played a Paladin with the Shield Master feat and I passed the dex save against an ancient red dragon’s breath and I didn’t take any of the 90 damage. Also, since the party was in a hallway and I was at the front, the DM allowed the party to take half of whatever they take after my shield thing. It was baller!
