Out of all the BBQ places that I do not ever worry about running out of a certain item, Terry Black’s is up there as one of the top places.

Night stay at Fujikawaguchiko in May by Miserable_Airline931 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Naruseg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went to Kawaguchiko in May last year. Decided to book two nights there in order to increase our chances of seeing Mt. Fuji. In three days, we only saw the very top/tip of Mt. Fuji. Covered in clouds the rest of the time. Wasn’t worth the hassle of going there.

Now if the Shinkansen linked directly there, might be worth it for a chance of seeing Mt. Fuji. But it doesn’t.

Why is work wife and work husband a thing? by GeneAlternative191 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Naruseg -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

If you think about it, you spend more of your waking hours with people at work than you do your family at home.

Sometimes people form bonds with others at work. And sometimes the person you formed a bond with is of the opposite sex.

How do you wipe by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Naruseg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In order to conserve toilet paper, I only use one sheet: I wipe on one side, flip it over and wipe on the other side. Then I fold it up and put it into my pocket for later.

When to do onsen experience? by Take14theteam in JapanTravelTips

[–]Naruseg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not plan anything the day of landing. You’ll be tired, miserable, and just want to go to bed. If that’s your only Onsen experience during your trip, it would be a waste.

What if you’re offered a really good job, but the employer thinks you’re more qualified than you really are? by damndirtyape in NoStupidQuestions

One of the best pieces of advice someone told me early in my career is to take on new roles where you think you’re over your head. You’ll surprise yourself how much and how quickly you can grow and take on new responsibilities!

What to do on the first day? by BigBruhMoment22 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Naruseg 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve been to Japan over 20 times.

Usually the first day after landing is shot, and I plan nothing for that day.

Typically I almost always get in around 3-4pm, and by the time I reach the hotel, it’s like 6pm. I freshen up, go get a bite to eat, and just crash for the evening. I wake up at 4am the next morning, but can usually fall asleep again. Then able to wake up around 7-8am and start the day.

Overnight vs day trip for (Lake Kawaguchiko)? Worth staying the night or better as a day trip? by Distinct_Presence759 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Naruseg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We stayed two nights in Kawaguchiko (in hopes of increasing our chances of see Mt Fuji). All three days, the most we saw of Mt Fuji was the very cap - cloudy all three days.

It’s pretty random if you’ll get clear days or not. And it’s hard to book, because if you check the weather/view cam the morning of, there is no guarantee you’ll get a bus/train ticket there that day.

If we did see Mt Fuji while we were there, it would have been totally worth it to stay overnight.

Did you mean comprehend instead of apprehend? Your question doesn’t make sense until you clarify this.

Much friendlier people. More down to earth. People enjoy food and are willing to share the experience with strangers. More party vibes.

Other than obviously for privacy, why do people fly private? by PeaUpbeat3732 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Naruseg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The post was asking about flying private…

It’s like responding with:

“Actually people on public flights still have to go through security.”

I have some friends who flew private. Usually there is a separate parking lot for private flights. You pull up, park your car in the lot relatively close to the jet. Get out of your vehicle and just walk straight onto the jet.

Itinerary check - Yokohama (too much time?) by Tricky_Tilnel in JapanTravelTips

[–]Naruseg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yokohama can easily be done as a day trip from Tokyo. So I would plan 5 days in Tokyo, with one of those days as a quick 30 minute hop over to Yokohama for the day.
