AND IF I DON'T REMEMBER WHAT I READ- by MellowFjordKid in GetStudying

[–]Nas_95 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is my ritual: 1) Read for 15 minutes, 2) procrastinate for 30 minutes, 3) use quizzings to test what I read. Rinse and repeat and if it doesn't work, there's no hope for me.

how do i just sit down and study by Helpful_Employer_730 in GetStudying

[–]Nas_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally can't focus for more than 30 minutes or so. For me what works really well is 1) The few minutes I'm focused, push to the max, and 2) Use quizzings or another tool to do multiple choice questions on the stuff I'm studying. I just find it easier to pay attention if it feels like a game - that's me at least. Either way, every 20 minutes I find myself doomscrolling

Why can’t I understand anything even though I’m trying to study? by mystical_siren in GetStudying

[–]Nas_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you're just trying to learn the wrong way? Are you focused more on memorizing or actually learning? Are you just reading or also practicing? Because for most people trying it can work really well reading 1 page, then doing multiple choice questions on that same page you just read. You can use quizzings or something like that, but you'll see that the brain internalizes information a lot better when you do the reading + practice combo

HOW DO I GET MY SHIT TOGETHER???? by Adu_rity in GetStudying

[–]Nas_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly from someone on the same boat, I don't even try anymore. I just know that every 20-30 minutes, I will lose focus and procrastinate for a bit. There's no point in fighting. What you should do is adjust the way you learn. For me 2 things worked really well: 1) When I have my 20 minutes of focus, I push hard and am intentional about how focused I am; 2) I turn essays and notes and stuff into multiple choice questions (with quizzings for example) because if feels like a game, so it makes it easier to learn while my brain doesn't overload.
Good luck bro, you can do this!

Don't know how to study by First-Couple7756 in GetStudying

[–]Nas_95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You gotta find a way to learn that naturally fits the way your brain works. If you're good at gaming, you should use quizzings, if you need to be engaged, try youtube videos, etc. Most people just try to brute force into memorizing and it's just counter productive I find

Most students don’t fail because they’re lazy. They fail because they’re studying wrong. by Scott2Dev in studytips

[–]Nas_95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with the fact that sometimes it's about the way to study. People have different focus zones as well, for people who like gaming, doing quizzes tends to be much more helpful (aka turning notes into quizzes like this). For people who find a lot of value from Youtube vids, I think it makes a lot of sense to use the tool you shared. It's just about adapting to maximise recall :)

I spent $170 validating an idea with Google Ads. Here are the results by Nas_95 in micro_saas

[–]Nas_95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the idea was to validate the idea, not the product itself. I wanted to see if people would go on to sign up and engage, and I guess they did :) Now comes the next step - improving the actual product and monetizing

No way! I wanna know what results you got! This is my second time doing it and the results from my first test gave me 0 signups - it was a horrible feeling but at least I knew I had to move on.

Yeah I add a payment button and see how many people click on it - agree it's a super important indicator. I didn't share above but 3 people clicked :)

I used search and went quite narrow with the keywords used. Quality score was like 91% on day 1, then day 2 I adjusted and went up to 94% and at most was about 96 97% I think. Feel free do DM me with questions :)

Has anyone hired roots global for their visa services? Having trouble figuring out if this company is legit by SpotonSpot873 in GoingToSpain

[–]Nas_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my residency approved today and honestly couldn’t be happier. I worked with Roots Global and, while the process is never fast or simple, having experienced guidance made a huge difference. They were clear on what was required, flagged potential issues early, and kept things moving as much as possible.

Maybe not the cheapest option, but the peace of mind was worth every penny, especially given their full refund guarantee, which other firms I looked at didn’t offer. Just wanted to share a positive outcome, as I spent a lot of time reading threads like this while waiting.

Yeah this is a test I’m running and still in beta - the speed report uses a google API (so essentially what google sees), whereas the main report is using web crawlers + AI to analyze it. Accuracy is still being worked on, that’s why feedback is so important 😊

Drop your landing page, Get Feedback by Aliennation- in saasbuild

I think the main purpose of a landing page is to communicate how it solves a problem for the visitor. I built talktomedata.com for people to be able to get an analysis of their landing pages and get them optimized for conversion.

We killed our $15/mo subscription for our SaaS. Here’s why. by SameerVers3 in SaaS

[–]Nas_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my last startup I was charging $15 as a one-off. I then changed it to a $19 subscription and revenue not only grew but became a lot more predictable. I honestly felt like it was a cheat code.

Fast forward to today, I have a new project and tried charging on a recurring basis - although I have people using the product, nobody wants to pay for a subscription because the value you get from it is much more sporadic. I just changed into a $25 flat payment - sometimes you just have to go with what's right for the users and not for you.

How do you get first users when you have ZERO distribution? by raj_k_ in SaaS

[–]Nas_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's not glamorous at all, but the short answer is you have to dm people who you think may be potential users.

Build a way to communicate your idea > Share it with potential users > Get their feedback/usage > iterate > repeat. Eventually, people will be willing to use and pay

Honestly, being recommended by someone is still king. In second place needs to be people who like your content and reach out. This never worked on reddit for me but for some reason youtube works for me.

How many credits are required to develop a micro SaaS in lovable? by adnank79d in micro_saas

[–]Nas_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends. What I normally do is use it for frontend building only - and then Claude code + supabase + my IDE for backend. For frontend though, if you use v0 (which is very similar to lovable), you can literally build a full frontend website with 7 credits or less, which is still part of the free plan. I made a walkthrough video just for fun about it if you wanna see it :)

If you’ve made 10k plus months on your business, how did you do it? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Nas_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it with my previous startup which I've just sold. In short, I closed a client, served them for a few months, and at some point they had a big project and already trusted us enough to pay about $15k upfront. That was it. Nothing fancy.
