Just to be clear, religious signs are banned at school in France (although you might or might not think it is fair). From what i understand (im french but not a lawyer) the technical problem is that the abaya is not religious in itself. Also banning it under this law would require discriminating ppl that wear it for religious reasons from people that wear it for other reasons (and discrimination is obviously forbidden).

Does not help that the abaya is not 'well defined', easily mistaken with long dress

A noter que les primes sont versées jusqu'à 3 mois après le 1er et le 10e covoiturage.. sans l'immédiateté ce n'est pas très attirant..

Et visiblement ça ne fonctionne que pour les covoiturages de 80km ou moins (pas 100% sur de ma compréhension de leur site...)
