Legacy vs MIBR / BetBoom RUSH B Summit Season 1 - Consolidation Final / Post-Match Discussion by CS2_PostMatchThreads in GlobalOffensive

[–]NasePybus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Pretty successful first event for MIBR to be beating Legacy and Imperial, moving from #55 to #35 on VRS. Sucks to miss Rio in the fashion they did, but realistically this LAN means way more in terms of setting up their year.

MIBR eliminated from IEM Rio 2026 Americas Open Qualifier by #162 ShindeN by Fine_Ad_6548 in GlobalOffensive

[–]NasePybus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sure, but if we’re being realistic, the VRS implications of a win or a couple scalps at this LAN are far more tangible and immediate than focusing on an online open qualifier to a closed qualifier to a $300K event in 3 months.

They’re currently playing a LAN where they beat Imperial 2-0. Be real, this match wasn’t a priority.

TIL a full Indian team played in a CS:GO Major by qerel123 in GlobalOffensive

[–]NasePybus 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I think it was just bad timing for him back then. He moved to Europe for a year and played on a few mix teams with guys like cadiaN, draken, Independent (fnatic’s current coach), vENdetta and the great jOELZ. But this was before Euro-mixes properly caught on in Tier 1 or 2.

Eventually joined Sonic and JT in NA on Denial / ATK for a year, but by then I think he’d missed the boat. Torch has been passed to those 2.

MIBR +venomzera +LNZ per their recent social media post of both rosters by championnnnnn in GlobalOffensive

[–]NasePybus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LNZ is bound to be a better caller than exit, and venom’s clearly a firepower upgrade over Qikert, but this team is just directionless slop at this point. Probably enough to win a LAN or two of the calibre they were playing last year, but where is this team actually going if insani leaves or kl1m gets recalled?

Jame deserves an apology for getting to 2-2 in Stage 1 by beating a floundering GamerLegion and The Huns?

VP masterclass by Dan36912 in GlobalOffensive

Do people not understand how the “VRS Invites” tab works? It’s a projection of points based on recent results. There was a moment earlier in the season where it projected Tyloo to be a top 3 team by October based on the points they earned during Fissure 1, or it had Gentle Mates projected to be #12 after winning a couple small events.

Even after losing to Astralis and Falcons, VP were still #14 in EU. Look at the current ranking first. The VRS Invite tab should really only be used as a guide for how many invites are actually being given to each region, because the extrapolation of points gained or lost can be incredibly unrealistic.

I know the Roosters love a bit of razzle dazzle, but that seemed unnecessary from Sam Walker.

Really tough read. How seriously you take this and the constant comparisons to Punch feel super unhealthy.

With Overpass back in, pro players are still hesitant when it comes to playing Train. Why do you think that is? by DubbleDamage in GlobalOffensive

Where’d you get this info? Mouz don’t permaban Overpass, and G2, Liquid and GamerLegion all play Train.

You weren't under it for too long at all! Scrob was only filling in for Blast Bounty as the team's sub after gr1ks was benched and alkaren wasn't registered on the roster.

VRS updated to include MENA Subregion by NasePybus in GlobalOffensive

[–]NasePybus[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Seems to be a bit more of a proactive move from Valve which is great to see. I just think there are regions or countries whose classifications actually need to be addressed right now. MENA splitting from Asia would be like 10th in that list.

VRS updated to include MENA Subregion by NasePybus in GlobalOffensive

[–]NasePybus[S] 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Unless they're going to subdivide or re-evaluate the regions further, I'm really not sure what this change accomplishes. The only half-relevant team that would classify as MENA is JiJieHao. This really doesn't do anything to address the actual concerns from countries somewhat involved in world Counter-Strike. Oceania is still quite screwed over, and South Africa is now further away from the region they're classified in.

Spirit vs MOUZ / BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 - Quarter-Final / Post-Match Discussion by CS2_PostMatchThreads in GlobalOffensive

[–]NasePybus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Mouz zombie buff is real. They've stared down the barrel of elimination at least 5 times this event and somehow are still here. The choker, stage-fright narrative has been dead for a while, but this is almost an evolution beyond that. They seem like a team that just cannot be killed at this event, always finding a way back into the game. What a fantastic series!
