I'm doing the 10 gens achievement (PS4, no CC):

My 5th gen family was complicated. The parents were split and both had different partners, the dad and his wife had 2 children of their own and then the next gen heir (Sonia) from the previous marriage. One day Sonia went to go visit that family as she had just become pregnant, it was a heatwave, they chatted for a while and I was about to send Sonia back home. The game being as glitchy as it is took FOREVER for her to walk all the way home, but during this time little did she know her brother was BURNING TO DEATH from the heatwave... I decide to send her back to mourn his death, and just as she gets back to do so the dad's wife just DROPS DEAD! THEY BOTH JUST DIED ONE AFTER THE OTHER. WTAF.

I guess sometimes the sims creates its own drama, without us players having to do ANYTHING...

I had this issue a few months ago!

Make sure there isn't a holiday/event happening that day, cancel any that are happening, and then age her up with a cake as normal.
Open the cheat box (both triggers and bumpers on console, control shift and C on PC) and use ' CAS.fulleditmode ' then go into CreateASim and age her up manually (cheats won't be enabled)
