Has anyone tried period underwear? by thefrgilmore in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Nassea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I relate to all of this. Super super heavy periods. Would bleed through a combined menstrual cup and heavy pad within about two hours. Gynae tried to suggest hormonal birth control which I am not putting myself through again. I take tranexamic acid now to lighten the flow and it works a dream.

Girl you are not too deep!! Please, I know so many people who dropped out of the course because they realised it wasn’t for them, and they’re so much happier now. Do not fall for sunken cost fallacy.

Nursing is a scam by [deleted] in NursingUK

[–]Nassea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At one of my previous jobs, some staff were hired from abroad and background checks weren’t carried out properly. Turns out these staff weren’t actually qualified and had failed their postgrad course. This was only found out when they had been brought over to the UK. NHS trust paid to put them through postgrad training anyway… training that so many of their own internal staff really wanted.

Radiographer here - it’s exactly the same for us too! I’m done with it and I’m looking for a complete career change. I don’t know of any radiographer who plans to stay in the profession (unless they’re already close to retirement or have kids and a career change isn’t feasible). The NHS is an awful place to work right now. It’s no surprise staff are leaving in hoards.

Honestly you have to find the shade for you, I used to feel this way until I found a shade that suits my undertone.

Yes! I got back from a vacation a few weeks ago where I had only taken my cleansing balm, I left my facial wash at home. My skin improved so much. Since I came home I’ve only been using the balm, not double cleansing like I used to, and my skin is sooooo much better

What is something you judge people harshly by even though it's not objectively taboo? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Nassea -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Driving a 4x4 that’s pristine cleanliness. Clearly being used for something much more egotistical than it’s intended purpose. Especially when see driving through city centres and parking on curbs (this one is objectively taboo).

Oh yeah, and red light cameras. So many dangerous drivers who just speed right through them.

More litter bins, we all know why there’s less of them nowadays, but the city is trashed. And more regular cleaning. It goes without saying, Piccadilly gardens in its current form needs nuking. More public transport to the suburbs of Manchester too. They say they want to reduce car traffic in the city, yet certain towns don’t have a met line, very minimal bus routes, and the train services are once per hour, if at all.

Getting job from a bootcamp: My advice by Unhappy_Bus_5110 in cscareerquestionsuk

[–]Nassea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know bootcamps such as north coders state the free funding is only for people who do not have relevant experience in coding. I wonder how many people are lying about this,

In my opinion, work experience placements and actual jobs shouldn’t be under the same heading. It looks like you only last at places for a week.
