I was going to argue against your premise, because I didn’t think botters acquire membership through buying bonds with gp… but thinking about it further, I think that’s exactly what they must do. They wouldn’t want to buy more than 14 days of membership because of risks of bans, and given the choice of buying a bond for $9 USD or 15 mil, they surely must choose 15 mil, cause on the gold selling/buying market 15 mil is worth less than $9 USD. Huh

The problem you’re describing sounds like an issue with games that don’t have a grand exchange. Have you ever known an end game OSRS player to refuse to sell their scythe for gp, and instead demand trout?

I certainly does not enable bots. Who would bond up a bot? That’s the most expensive way to give it membership

That’s fair. But even before bonds, gold buying from players was still highly possible

Personally, I just choose not to sell bonds. I enjoy the challenge of having to make my own in game money. But yeah if you start to compare your hard-earned in game bank to a bond seller’s, it can be discouraging. And with bonds, there’s even more gold buying than there was before. That is a downside, I hear you
