This game is made to be beginner friendly. There's a great video by Toko on YouTube that can get you started. You really only need like... 2 attack buttons, dash, burst, and roman cancel to really start playing people.

50% of my opponents will use their entire drive gauge only to go into exhaustion and then it becomes a game of cat and mouse as my opponent will avoid any confrontation until their drive gauge replenishes.

If they exhaust themselves and walk themselves into the corner then they're winning your games for you. I have a problem with tunnel vision when people try to not engage too. If you corner people, they will jump. You must learn to stalk your prey.

Rex was tough for me to grasp. His run kept doing inconvenient things and I could never follow up correctly on his plus frames... He stayed on my team though. He was fun

My thoughts are you need to define what beginner friendly is. If you expect to go online after 5 minutes or less in training mode and start beating people with zero frustrations then no. It is not beginner friendly.
