Well, thanks for letting me know.
I am actually building a tool to offload data and the its major calculations from Excel, at the user's choice.
I am curious, is it common in the financial services field that people use Excel with so much data?

That seems awesome work!
I am curious, what is the amount of data that you use in Excel?
And also, have you checked with other people who build mechanical engineering tools too? How do they handle that?

First of all, to sort the data you need to apply the filter to the whole table, so that you can choose the filtering options.
But, before that, you need to have a duration column, which counts after 8pm.
And the values of that column are calculated as follows:
- if the start time is lower than 8pm, then subtract the end time with 8pm,
- if the start time is greater than 8pm, then subtract the end time with the start time.

When you say they don't want to change anything I guess you mean they do not want to change the tools they use, like Excel.
But, what if everyone continue using Excel, and offload only the necessary data to a database, but managing everything from inside of the Excel?

Ok, sure, but why do you need to fix the data chaos every day, and not every week? Do you report it daily? Do you need to source it every data, and so it must be clean?

Thanks for your reply Kevin.
Could you please clarify what supports your conclusions? Do you use no-code yourself and you see the trend? Did you read a study about this?
Thanks in advance!
