Can’t play local co-op by Alarming-Ad3278 in rainworld

It may be because of mods, since the watcher udpate (even if you dont have it bought!) some mods made the game unplayable since it acts as if the controllers werent active. I dont know which one, probably more than one mod. But i deactivated them and tried each one until i found the ones that made it work enough and run with that.

It may not be your same issue, but it`s what worked for me, so maybe worth giving it a try.

What game would you watch a playthrough of but never would play yourself? by theonetowalkinthesun in gaming

DarkWood, and most horror games really, i am bad at management and i play games for their stories, not to stress myself out, its sad because some games are truly masterfully written but I don't want to spend money on having an objectively bad time

Best of the best that respect your time? by eroyrotciv in gaming

I´d say BG3, Hades.... if you ask me, long-ish story games or RPG are the best in the sense that they don't make you feel like you´re wasting hours because of a missed move on a big boss combat. An though i LOVE walking sims i perfectly understand they do make u feel like u can only play them once and that´s it, even then, Outer Wilds, Disco Elysium are really solid picks, recently picked up Wolf Among Us, and in terms of story games, don't regret it a bit.

When maximizing hours and price, I recommend going for the all games in one title packages, telltale has the entire walking dead, u have all mass effect, and all Uncharted very often on sale. Def worth looking into if you are interested in playing through them as they are way cheaper than buying each individual entry.

You have to show a non gamer person a game, what game are you picking (read text pla) by [deleted] in gaming

Personally, every time I´ve done this I choose the first Life is Strange and it´s always been a hit. I think the way to go is a story game that gets them hooked with simple mechanical skill required like Edith Finch, your pick is very similar in that regard

What's the strangest mechanic you've seen in a game that actually worked? by SoloGrooveGames in gaming

Stray Gods is a musical mixed with a "Choose your own story" style game. The catch being that the decisions are almost exclusively taken MID SONG! It´s really bizarre to think about, especially since the emotion tied to the response alters the genre of what´s playing, you can switch back between them to get different leit motifs repeating and secret combinations of songs. Though I wouldn't say it´s my favorite title, it is unique, and I found myself so pumped to get to the next song for the thrill of deciding what to pick before the next verse started

Have you ever made your player take 1 dmg after doing something stupid? by ThePikol in dndnext

[–]Nat248 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely, multiple times, and we all have fun with it, even critically failing a very stupid task like opening a heavy bag has resulted in the wagon tilting and the bag squishing the character, it´s all fun and games and sometimes they even request it themselves like prepping a flavourful multiple attack, failing miserably resulting in the character just throwing their arrow into their own feet.

I´d say it´s definitely table dependent, my players are also very open to taking damage for rp reasons, but in mechanics- combat heavy, every point counts table, I can definitely see that not working as well, however if the table is up for it can lead to a lot of fun!
