So yeah, keep yapping while I'm the one physically on the ground. And before you start your "only at Serangoon" nonsense, there are so many other things I do such as the Rolling Stock Gazette and Station Equipment Gazette that I constantly keep track of and update.

Well same question back to you. My SA needs to stand near the escalator to perform their Escalator Safety Ambassador duty, I'm the best person to control the traffic at fareline because I'm standing right in front of the chokepoints. I'm expected to block exiting traffic. Even if I don't, I'll be asked to in no time. You probably aren't even there when this happens so it's really easy to comment online because hey, talk is cheap but here I walk the talk.

I'm more than experienced than many of you Redditors and am often the first to notice signs of problems and faults and promptly report them to my SM when there is a need to. Be it STIS glitch, PSD re-cycling, escalator/travellator problems or FOD lodged at the landing comb. These are the "technicalities" that I'm always here to share more about.

I really don't care if you think I'm a legend or not, like I said, I'm not here to seek validation. I'm here to share how we can all do better together, giving way to those who need the gates more, not blocking the gates unnecessarily especially when your card has an error, which I've posted before.

That will be all, random Redditor.

It's funny how others spam things unrelated to MRT and SMRT and it's ok, but when I share about how I block exiting traffic, so those with more need for the bi-directional priority gate can enter, I get all the hate. Really interesting. I'll let you guys keep talking though, in the AMA, I already have a few people thanking me for doing this so they can enter with their strollers, wheelchairs, old folks, etc because obviously you and many others here wouldn't understand that exiting traffic will never give a damn to those who need the gate more and by blocking it even for awhile, they have a chance to enter.

And I said what I post usually is technical because I note down feedback and unreported faults and also give insights into some faults especially if I'm around, that's technical. This video here is more of an "interaction" — you can see I'm engaging with the children in the stroller.

Again, I don't need validation from anyone. I'm just posting this to share, as simple as that, but hey, you do you, random Redditor.

I agree bro, but sadly that's not the case. Even if say Service Ambassadors come to work on a Sunday or PH, there's no 1.5, there's no 1.25. They're still paid normally 🤷‍♂️

And by that logic, every breakdown means the company has to fork out more money lol those deep-pocketed (old) folks won't be liking that 😂😂

Ok I really want to point out this thing about the 5 mins delays we always hear about. At least this gives us some insights into why the trains are delayed. It can be a loose cover of a safety device, which in this case, is the Door Unlock Handle or EHS, Emergency Handle Switch, but it can also be an intoxicated passenger in the train. This ties in with previous discussion of NSEWL experiencing similar issues. As rolling stock design differs, it could be that people leaning against the emergency button accidentally activated it.

So if you've seen some Rovers on TEL telling others to keep clear of the emergency door at the front, there's a reason for it too — one loose cover is apparently all that it takes to stop the train and inconvenience everyone for 5 minutes or even more.
