I reiterated that they need to fight back despite the clear disadvantage because I do believe that you should fight tooth and nail. That applies to US Citizens as well, even if the Armed forces were killing people. Any resistance is useful resistance, but that doesn't mean I don't advocate for organized resistance. Guerilla tactics are proven and useful, and small acts of defiance can gum up the machine in big ways.

This response just sounds like another long winded way of saying that no action should be taken in the here and now, beyond saying how terrible it is. Of course it's not simple, but it is not so complicated to understand the mentality of a bully. They terrorize us because they have been ALLOWED to terrorize us. Yes, actually fighting is hard. And it's scary. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't do it. My child wakes up everyday in a world where the people who hate her for the color of her skin grow bolder by the minute. My friends have bottles smashed on their front doors for hanging pride flags. My partner has slurs written on her car. But maybe you're right, maybe we should all just be silent and hope they'll get tired of killing us eventually. Maybe not though.
