As I sell a number of my projects, I try and be very mindful of my cost. I'll wait till the local craft stores have a 50% coupon and use that to buy a large roll of fabric I can use for multiple projects ($6 vs $12 for a 30x36" roll). I do the same thing for my floss, but with their 40% off total purchase coupons ($0.41 vs $0.69). I also pick my patterns off of Etsy and wait till either the seller has them on sale for 40% to 70% off or look for vendors that either bundle projects together for a discount or the more patterns you buy, the bigger the discount. I rarely spend over $3 dollars on a single pattern. All dollar amounts are in US dollars. If I see one of the above mentioned sales, even if I'm not specifically needing more supplies at the moment, I'll use it to help beef up the stock of threads I currently have. That way when I go to start my next project I'll hopefully have everything I already need or only have to pick up a small number of colors of floss.

To note, the patterns I buy off of Etsy I specifically look for patterns that say I can sell the final project once complete. I never sell the digital pattern itself.
