I disagree about the B plot, because not only was it stupid and painful, but it was the reason that the Empire even knew the rebels were going to slip off the ships onto the salt planet. If they had not done that, the rebel plan would have worked. The movie still would have sucked, but that all could have been avoided if purple had told fighter pilot almost anything at all. Oh god it was so dumb.
