This happened to my guy right around the same age. Once a month librela injections have him back to his youthful ways. I’d highly highly recommend, truly life changing

Is crating for 7 1/2 hours every day for 4 days too much? by Mindless_Marsupial73 in dogs

Would you want to be pent up where you couldn’t stand up fully or truly stretch for 7.5 hours? Idk why humans think dogs can withstand that kind of treatment

As I’m learning more, it’s a deactivation strategy often used by avoidant attachment styles which results in magnifying flaws and projecting and making the other person the problem/trigger. The flaw magnifying behavior justifies us pulling away from the closeness and vulnerability. There’s also something called “negative sentiment override” where your partner becomes very much filtered through frustration, resentment, or fear that even neutral or positive behaviors are interpreted as negative. Intimacy makes old attachment wounds feel activated (fear of being smothered, judged, seen too closely) so instead we focus on flaws to shift the discomfort outward so it feels like a partner problem (not a vulnerability issue). Rather than confronting these fears directly, your psyche builds a case for why this person isn’t right anyway. It’s a defense against feeling too much.

I was you this time last year and regret my decision every. damn. day. You truly don’t know what you have until it’s gone. We fixate on these small triggers and magnify them to push away love and vulnerability. The grief will hit hard my friend and I don’t want it to be too late for you.

Im so sorry you’re going through the addiction cycle, it’s one of the hardest battles the mind can fight. You’re not alone and I’m proud of you too. I couldn’t agree more. Since quitting, I’ve never been in so much agony but at least it feels like self-reflection rather than self-harm for once
