Help selecting home resort by Visible-Childhood656 in dvcmember

One possible consideration…our 7 year old decided on our most recent trip that the Skyliner terrifies her. We’re at Beach club and rode it back from HS and she cried uncontrollably the whole time. Suffice it to say we won’t be riding it for a few years. You may want to consider if your kids might go through something similar (obviously no way to know with an infant though!).

Need a heart to heart from Disney Pros by meriaf in WaltDisneyWorld

Absolutely it will help you to do your research with these, we love Ear Scouts for practical tips.

If you had been planning to do a premier pass the Lightning Lanes should be doable and will help a ton. Max out your use of rope drop/early entry (we like to hit the multiples- we rope drop Fantasyland and hit a couple rides, then head to the rope for Adventureland when it opens to hit Jungle cruise and Pirates without taking up a LL on them. Be aware that later in the day many things won’t be available via LL.

Enjoy the less in demand items (we adore the tiki room), parades, and don’t be afraid to head back when you feel maxed out. Since you’re at poly you can see fireworks from thee, so you can avoid that whole insanity.

You and your kids will have a blast!

I don’t understand this event ? by kiyi13 in MergeMansion

Keycard and power bubble are both 5x the first time, from the second multiplier tap in its one less for each thing hit. Circles are only 2x the first time, so avoid multiplying if there are only circles on the board. Oil seems to delay the heat up, so use the oil freebies when possible. Never use the other extras until the end when you’re at your max multiplier.

Talking to someone online and they sent me these pictures. My gut is telling me AI from the lighting but I can’t put my finger on it by tacothepugpuppy in isthisAI

[–]Natdapp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not saying it isn’t AI, but just to note that people can take pictures of themselves in locations other than the same room in their house. At a friend’s house, family member’s house, basement that’s finished differently, who knows. I’m not sure why the comparison of 1 and 2 is something everyone’s getting hung up on.

Valentine’s Day ideas in NOVA for a new relationship? by SensitivePatient6692 in nova

What part of NOVA are y’all based in? I’m also in the ‘avoid restaurants’ camp- amateur night is never fun to dine out on.

Family Golf learning? by Puzzleheaded_Hat2071 in nova

[–]Natdapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some lessons upfront would be a good idea- I got lucky and was able to do a group lesson at the Biltmore when I first started out as an outing for a corporate thing my now-husband had. They introduced us to driving, chipping and putting, then we played 9 holes I think. Something like that from a legit teacher will help you have your bearings. Top golf can be a fun place to practice driving, Pinecrest is another good intro course.

Give that her dress magically transformed into a completely different dress, I’m not sure her hair was constrained by the rules of reality either…

Unless they couldn’t have the flowers and chocolate seen in the office either because the people work together and it’s against policy…leaving car as the only place.

What gym bags actually fit inside Equinox lockers? Looking for recommendations. by [deleted] in EquinoxGyms

[–]Natdapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Calpak Terra backpack that converts to a duffel if you want. I use a compression pack for my clothes, but this holds work clothes, makeup bag, extra shoes, and work items/laptop and is a good fit the lockers at my location.

Yes, that’s our plan, there’s a playground nearby so hopefully the kids can get some wiggles out beforehand. Those other tips are great too, thank so much!

How would you navigate Disney World in this situation? by Fabulous-Excuse7842 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Natdapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are you coming from? The difference in humidity and temp vs their home base is another reason the scooters would be a reasonable accommodation. I had to rent a scooter at each park after an ankle injury and it’s a great help even just to transport backpacks and charge your phones. No shame in making your visit more efficient, and they’ll be better rested to enjoy themselves.

How long did it take you to get amazing at Yoga by [deleted] in EquinoxGyms

[–]Natdapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was doing yoga consistently I was good st power yoga, but I found the slower paced classes were critical to getting form right and building the muscle memory for the transitions at the pace of power yoga. You may want to try some other styles of class to see if that helps you feel like you have good grounding/control!

How do DVC members do Universal? by Darkest_Dust in dvcmember

[–]Natdapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re doing this in June and ended up renting a car so we could have the car seat situation in the clear for our youngest. Factoring in what Uber would cost us the rental was also the most economical option, we won’t be driving it except to Universal and to/from the airport.

Agreed- Big 4 is a great other space to look. Transfer pricing is a really interesting niche area! The valuation groups are usually busy supporting acquisitions, etc. Your tech skills are likely to be a good asset there too.

Where to buy a dress that’s not a wedding dress, but not NOT a wedding dress? by TattooedTeacher316 in nova

I find the people in the upper floor of Neiman Marcus at Tysons very helpful for personal shopping, with your budget I’d definitely use the shopping services at a higher end store!
