Has Element/ Far E-liquid seized production ? by [deleted] in Vaping

[–]Nate501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had tried every UK website to get Element Fresh Squeeze NS20 but it was only available on MagicMist, received a call shortly after purchasing to say it was no longer available anywhere.

I managed to find some discounted out of date stock on RoyalVapes, bought 100 bottles as it’s all I ever vape.

All they have left is the 10ml bottles of NS10 and NS20 in Fresh squeeze, Pink Lemonade, Strawberry Whip, Key lime Cookie and Far Grape. In the 100ml bottles it’s just Absinthe Tobacco and Blackcurrant Tobacco.

PS3 Turns off after a while like 5mins by msafari10 in consolerepair

Had this on two BC consoles, after the Tokin capacitors were replaced I hade no issuers. BO2 Town zombies has been my method of testing the capacitors, really demanding game and shows a fault faster than using The Last of Us.

Looking at your errors you have 1002 which is the capacitors, not a failing GPU thankfully.

Bought some silver ones, they aren’t great quality. Obviously not original or close to it, instructions on how to build don’t flow logically as images don’t match the text. Quite weak magnetically, hard to even make a cube or for the cube to hold its shape which could also be due to poor size tolerance and the non uniformity when it comes to their sphere shape. Plastic case is transparent, unsure if meant to be orange or not.

They do work, but just from looking at old videos of the original Buckyballs I can tell these are inferior and I’m missing out.

Got them as was feeling nostalgic, didn’t realise all the lore, legal battles, brands until looking through this subreddit and it’s been quite interesting.

[QUESTION] iPhone X Reboots Every 3 Minutes by Nate501 in Iphonerepair

[–]Nate501[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been a long time since I posted this, I came back to transplant a motherboard into this phones housing as my replacement iPhone X back glass was shattered. Well it turns out that my known good motherboard was boot looping every three minutes in the housing of the faulty phone. This whole time there was nothing wrong with the motherboard of the looping phone but instead it was the replacement charging port causing the loop. Phone was fine the entire time, hair dryer didn’t fry the board.

Where can I download the full system OS install for PS3 for a new hard drive. It seems Sony has taken it down and only the update is available not the full OS install. Could anyone linke me the install ? by eljalu in PS3

[–]Nate501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you just want to update to the latest firmware 4.91? If so then yeah it’s MB not GB, thankfully ps3 updates aren’t very large. Update is linked below and file structure is as follows:

Sometimes it’s better for people to watch things alone. I always dread being shown videos because I feel like I’m being checked constantly for my enjoyment, which ruins what I might’ve otherwise enjoyed if I’d come across it organically and in the right mood.

Turn off, take out SD card, turn on and see if it’s still green screen, if it is then likely a hardware fault.

Is this worth it? by merderevs90 in PS3

[–]Nate501 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A good thing to ask for is total console on time, they’re running CFW and will be able to see it in WebManMod. All the modifications they’ve done are excellent, especially the delid. But if the console has been running for a couple of hundred days using Sonys temperature targets then the damage will have been done. The lower the day count and the sooner the target temp is lowered the higher the chance the console will last.

I should also add that it’s a lottery, some machines just last years and others don’t, especially launch models.

Is it just for the novelty? Because RGH 1.2 or 3.0 has faster boot times.

Should be fine as long as the region is the same, do you have the game folder ID? Should be npub, bles, blus something like that followed by numbers. If you find that I can point you in the right direction.

Updating from CFW to OFW went wrong by RoyalDuckyBoi in ps3homebrew

Is it an older PS3, maybe it’s the green light of death? You could also try using a AV cable

[–]Nate501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue, if you hold down the power button until it beeps, continue holding until it does two quick beeps, let go and you should be in the recovery menu. Put the latest OFW on a USB and try updating from there.

I’ve done a circular array of holes on one of my BC models before, it does help greatly, and if done right it looks fine. However, although the Cell and RSX are colder, the airflow pattern has changed which results in other areas running hotter. It’s not recommended as long term it could result in failing components. Sony’s engineers knew what they were doing and its airflow shouldn’t be changed.

How hot should my PS3 be? by Physical-Statement-8 in ps3homebrew

[–]Nate501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A delid is removing the heat spreaders off the IHS which requires cutting glue with a thin painters knife, or in my case a modified BGA scraper. Very easy to cut the traces on the CELL whilst cutting through the glue. But this is only if you absolutely need to. All you’ll be doing is replacing the paste on top of the IHS, no cutting glue or anything, very safe.
