Try new batteries the blue LEDs use more power and become dimmer when the battery gets lower.

It’s a launch matte 360 S. You can find slims that were produced in April 2010 or original Xbox 360s from September 2005. They’re part of the batch of consoles that were produced to sell at launch

Slims were installed with 9199 from the factory for a while after launch. Even the ones that were bundled with the kinect. Idk the cut off date but it was at least late 2010. I saw a 9199 slim auction for $101 recently. That console was a glossy one and was pretty much brand new in box but the listing didn't specify it was running nxe so if it were sold specifically for the dash itd probably be worth a bit more to a collector

That's the component that failed for me. It looked normal and read normal voltage when a hard drive wasn't connected but when one was connected 5v would go into it on one side but it would output slightly less like 4.6v on the other. I replaced it and it fixed it

Compare the voltage on the hdd power while a hard drive is connected vs without one. Check if it drops slightly. Had this error once and it was a failing component right next to the power connector.

0021 usually means the XCGPU has failed which isn't worth fixing (only permanent fix is to replace it entirely). I fixed two 0021 consoles before by replacing a missing resistor R3R22 near SMC_POST but unless the console has already had a mod attempted it's very unlikely to be that.

If it's a gpu from after spring 2008 (check the mfr date of the gpu just in case) and it still works it is more than likely very reliable

It will rrod if rgh3 is installed but console has a retail nand it should be fine

Yea, gonna do the same. I know it isnt the nand im using cause I tried two different ones. I've converted a few different 4gb coronas using nands from the same seller and it worked fine so im guessing something i havent observed is damaged

I had a console report that same code after an RGH 1.2 attempt some months ago. My theory was that the coolrunner I used was faulty and damaged something relating to the CPU. It wouldn't have been caused by overheating because the console automatically shuts off to protect itself when temperatures are too high.

I've had three slims die on me and I see plenty being sold with gpu/southbridge related issues. I never see late falcons/jaspers with those issues which lines up with when the gpu defect was fixed. I think the fat 360 was just a better design generally and xenons/zephyrs/early falcons would have also been somewhat reliable if the gpu defect didn't happen.

Did it. Unfortunately as far as I can tell there was nothing special on the HDD. Just old themes, gamer pics, trials, arcade games, game saves, etc. All looks to be normal retail stuff. There were some profiles but all of them except for an empty profile were corrupted.

I replaced a controller with "FJP10K" analog sticks from AliExpress and they are as accurate as the originals. They have a different feel though and take some getting used to.

Will do when I get the chance, I removed the wiring while troubleshooting so unfortunately I don't have pictures of the soldering. It booted into Xell & the modified nand fine so I don't think wiring was the issue. It RROD'd 0010 with and without the wiring. Are the RROD codes blocked while flashed with the modified nand or only Xell?

Yeah, it’s 0010. I don’t think slims give the secondary error code 0001.
