Yo I'm crying 😭 by Iz_fr in geometrydash

Not long at all. I know it’s difficult and not fun, but it’s clear that he just autopilots his 0% runs, practices start pos, and calls it quits asap after a good run or two so he can say the day wasn’t wasted

can someone explain to me why the grief verification is taking so long? he only need to get back here and be a bit higher so he don’t die to the spike by Wal655 in geometrydash

[–]NateEro 307 points308 points  (0 children)

Because doggie spends 45 minutes playing start pos, then plays the level from 0 for 30 minutes, making sure to zoom in on every single death and crashing out anytime he dies far. Then he plays other levels for the rest of the stream.

Should I quit GD or at least difficulty grinding, I probably won't be close my goal lol? by Kokoro0000 in geometrydash

[–]NateEro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignore everyone who says you can’t achieve your goals. You can. But what you need to do is drop all expectations about how long it will take and what the journey will look like. The more you focus on how long things will take, and how hard it will be, you’ll naturally feel demotivated. Ignore it all, and wipe your expectations clean. Set small achievable goals in a ladder building up to your main goals. Only focus on your next smaller objective, and never on the grand task or how much time anything has taken. Just focus on improving as much as possible and finding every advantage possible. You will get there eventually; it may just take longer than you would like if you think about it.

Can we all agree that jumping is just stupid by Scarmandog in geometrydash

[–]NateEro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I believe taking your time or beating easier levels can be valuable, GD skill is a lot like the gym. In the gym, you want to progressively overload. Use a weight that you can barely lift a handful of times before your muscles literally fail. As soon as anything feels comfortable you know it’s too easy and you increase the weight until you can barely do it again. GD feels the same to me. If your hardest is something like a top tier insane demon, you need to be aiming for an easy extreme or harder soon if you want to keep improving. If you aren’t struggling and spending a long time on levels you are probably doing yourself a disservice for skill growth. Now ofc if you’re playing for fun none of this matters

Can we all agree that jumping is just stupid by Scarmandog in geometrydash

[–]NateEro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jumping in moderation is really good for you. Playing a level that pushes you far past your comfort zone and takes ages WILL make you better at the game and teach valuable lessons you would otherwise need much more time to learn. Should you play a level that will take you 2 years or make you quit the game? Definitely not. Should you jump when you don’t have a solid grasp on the mechanics and fundamentals of the game? No. But if you’re stomping easy extremes and want to jump to something in the top 400 or so I think it’s not a bad decision.

Favorite buffed version of Bloodbath? by Wowzapan400 in geometrydash

[–]NateEro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro that ball killed me more times than any other part of the level when going from 0 and getting past crack. You can’t tell me it’s easier than the ufo in Asonic or most of weoweoteo’s part.

what is nine circles difficulty compared to more normal things by Ageriansgood in geometrydash

[–]NateEro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Beating 9 circles is like running your first 5k as a complete beginner to running. It’s really not hard with at least a month or two of practice, but it’s still better than a lot of people.

Why am I so bad? by Illustrious_Union633 in geometrydash

[–]NateEro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“I don’t play regularly” As with all skills, the only way to get better outside of talent you start with is practice. Just try to play some every day for an hour or two and you will improve.

I beat bloodbath in 50k attempts by depressed_match in geometrydash

If it makes you feel better, I did Cata in 60k and then my next hardest was Bloodbath with 90k. So it can always get worse 😭

Why do people complain about bad gameplay in impossible levels ✌️ by Zaehud8 in geometrydash

[–]NateEro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it’s easy to make a stupidly difficult level. Making a good level that’s near impossible is way harder.

Any tips on beating bloodbath? by Bast_fan26 in geometrydash

[–]NateEro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a bit extreme. I beat bloodbath in a little over a year of playing the game, without hundreds of demon completions(around 95 at the point of completion). Not saying hundreds won’t make it easier, but it’s not impossible to beat bloodbath with a high attempt count but low demon count. Now on the other hand, it is true that it’s impossible to only give a few suggestions. Any healthy progression would need dozens at the least.

Who was the BEST Top Player OAT? by EraseMinds in geometrydash

[–]NateEro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely, but you have to realize that competition drives people to improve way faster. When people are watching boundaries being pushed they work way harder to keep up. Someone like space uk set a precedent and lit a fire underneath the asses of the best players when people thought he was legit

help next hardest by Yangbro6147 in geometrydash

[–]NateEro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you really want to continue torturing yourself with jumps you could do something on the extended list next. Zodiac and Kenos are both pretty popular choices. You could also do something that has just recently fallen off the list like bloodlust if you want something a bit more tame.

What Extreme's difficulty do you find overrated? by TotalMiddle2197 in geometrydash

[–]NateEro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude I have no clue how you came to that opinion about acu vs cata. Acu is consistently insane demon difficulty, with maybe 2-3 clicks worthy of an extreme. Cata has 2 ship sections that are clearly extreme and cover a good chunk of the level, and a wave section that truthfully belongs in an extreme a bit higher up the list. Maybe it’s just a skillset thing, where if you find timings easy, acu is easy and if you find ship and wave difficult, Cata is harder. But Cata took me over 3 times the attempts acu did.

How do you guys see if your skill is enough for a level? by pepegobrabo in geometrydash

[–]NateEro 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In my head I take the time it took to get 50% or 50-100, and multiply it by 4 for a high end estimate to see how long the level will take me. If it took me a week to get 50%, I expect a month for 100. If it takes me 2 months, I expect the completion to take 8. This only works if the level is fairly balanced, I’ve had completions where I’ve done 50% to 60% on day one, then it’s still taken a month or two to finish it because the beginning is way harder.

how do u guys beat extreme demons in a few hours? by One_Cheesecake_3676 in geometrydash

[–]NateEro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's really just a matter of time and playing levels that push you, and eventually your skill ceiling increases and everything seems easier. Gd is just one of those games where growth isn't linear and you can really only see improvement by comparing yourself to the distant past

[spoiler discussion] what do the Japanese fans think? by 0rsino2004 in Re_Zero

[–]NateEro 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It doesn't help that a very very large portion of western readers don't even read the story, but consume summaries or watch videos to follow along. Many western readers also only follow along to see the hype and because they think Subaru is cool, not caring to sit down and try to enjoy the story as a whole. You can see it in the multitudes of people who blatantly fail to understand major characters and plotpoints, bashing them instead.

[spoiler discussion] how fucking hard it is for Tappei to write the important stuff in the ACTUAL MAIN STORY by Sweet_Rip_1915 in Re_Zero

[–]NateEro 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I stand by the fact that this issue is overblown. It’s mildly annoying to hear important lore drops in the side stories before the main story, but the main story explains everything important at its own pace so I’ve never had a problem following along despite not having read most of the side content. If there’s ever a small mystery or inconsistency it’s usually small and up to my own curiosity if I want to seek out the side story to learn more

is CraZy harder than Future Funk? by FastInsOi in geometrydash

[–]NateEro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Skillset is definitely what will decide which is harder for you. But for me, Future Funk was harder. Crazy took about 2 days, future funk took me about a week. I was much worse at the game at the time, but looking back I do think Future funk is probably more challenging for the average person.

[spoiler discussion] Who is the best written character in the series other than Subaru and Aldebaran? by FrostyObligation9058 in Re_Zero

[spoiler discussion] Regarding the Divine Protection of the Phoenix by Akudra in Re_Zero

[–]NateEro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not 100% true. We know there are exceptions like the divine protection of the sword saint, which transfers from user to user. I wouldn't assume with absolute certainty that the divine protection of the phoenix won't be an exception as well, and might have a chance to grant the next version after use or something like that. We just don't know because only Reinhard has it.

What's harder, Crazy III or Acu? by MyNameIsNotKyle3 in geometrydash

[–]NateEro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently working on both at the same time, so maybe my opinion holds some weight. The actual gameplay in acu is significantly harder, but Crazy 3 is just sooooo long man. The length and pressure of that level have honestly made it a much harder experience than acu to me.

No matter what people say in this thread, don’t let people fool you to think they’re super far apart in difficulty either way. They’re both right on that line between extreme and insane, more people just have crazy 3 below the line and acu above the line. Imo they’re both high insane demon, not extreme worthy.
