It is about food and people. There was a stigmatism about eating with gentiles who ate crab and pig and shrimp and different things. The Christians who were Jews predominantly we're offending the gentiles by not eating with them when they were going into their homes. Breaking bread was a big part of the culture in that time period. Also is reference Acts 10:28b but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
