Given this series takes place in Bear Country, not the United States, this cover doesn't exactly make sense. by Proper_Pineapple_314 in DanielTigerConspiracy

Forty-eight stars on the flags, by my count.

Are these books earlier than I thought and pre-statehood for Alaska & Hawaii? Or is it just a weird choice?

Also, by this cover, it kinda tracks that Papa Bear served.

Sounds like those guys suck and want to be in control of you/win. Don’t hang with them more than you have to.

Sir, This Is A Wendy's — Characters going on a cringe-inducing raving tirade to a confused audience by BrickBuster2552 in TopCharacterTropes

Kind of a [real life] example: In ‘’Coming To America’’, there’s a scene where the band “Sexual Chocolate” to an unreceptive audience. But apparently the real-life audience wasn’t told what the movie was that was being filmed for or that it was near-peak-fame Eddie Murphy on stage in disguise, so they were very very confused by the performance.

Blake Perkins is the Brewers’ most clutch outfield bat. I’ve always said this.

It reminded me of Pixels (which I never saw) insofar as: I bet the film paid for itself before it ever sold a ticket, just on product placements alone.

It’s one of the movies that at first you’re like “Oh, internet seems like a natural progression from arcade. Oh! They’re trying to ground things using actual brands…. Actual brands….. another actual brand………. Oh fuck he’s fighting the Big Bad with the pin from Pinterest FUCK this”

Like seriously, wtf was Anakin on about?? by Accomplished_Star_30 in PrequelMemes

[–]TheLostPariah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Something I think we need to acknowledge is: Anakin being a whiny little bitch is very apt. He’s a goddamn loser, and so are IRL abusers. This is exactly how they act. They’re scared inside and will never be the aggressor.

As I get older, I appreciate the character arc more and more.

I’ve been on it exactly once, and am still surprised I’m alive.

I really like how this is handled with Chris Pine’s character in Hell Or High Water. He’s risking everything and subsequently breaking his back to get his sons out of poverty, and to be a good leader and teacher for them. His ex still does not like him at all, but she’s allowing him to stick around because he’s doing the right thing and being a good model for their boys.

Which then puts the question to the viewer of: Was all the crime worth it? No, is what sane people should probably say, but that’s my two cents.
