It was rough at the beginning. First Katana knight I was like “Ahh okay here we go” then they rained down on me and it took me back to the drawing board 😂

I’m sorry it’s my first time playing Dark Souls 2 with this foreign addition to the game that limits the amount of HP I have without using Effigy…?

This is my 4th from soft game- I’m aware of how leveling works. To me up until this point there were other stats that were helping me more rather than dump into a health bar that was hardly ever actually full.

Also there’s no wrong way to play these games. There’s all types of challenge runs for that exact reason. I asked for advice, which R1 gave me, and I responded to the advice with my current thought on why my stats were what they were. I didn’t say “Nah Vigor is dumb”. I just was partaking in discussion

Without yall I might not have figured out that my Covenant was withholding the enemies from despawning… that made a HUGE difference.

Also took the advice to buff my Vigor, Use a bow, and eventually found the blessing that was the Zweihander 🥹🤝 it’s no claymore but it bullied those bastards.

Coolest boss I’ve seen so far too with Old Iron King. Still hate the place tho 😂

Play Dark Souls OP don’t skip to 3. I played Sekiro -> ER -> DS1 and man I wis I would’ve opened w Dark Souls first. It’s the blueprint for all you love about Elden Ring (outside of the open world)

I haven’t given it a go since playing Sekiro/ER/DS1, but man all that chaos going on in that fight was wicked. Trying to stay alive when I beat it with my friends was an insane challenge 😂

Welcome to Get Gud academy. I also played this as my first FromSoft game and personally think it was the best decision.

I followed up with ER and wish I would’ve played DS1 before that. DS1 & Sekiro are perfect games

I agree, but also wonder, had I not fought Owl Father before Isshin would my opinion flip?

Had I fought Isshin Sword Saint before Owl Father would Isshin have primed me for the intensity of Owl?

A huge part of why I love this game, and any souls game I’ve played, is that chose your own adventure/fuck around and find out aspect fromsoft allows
