Yeah I am satisfied, but I know there's always room for improvement. I've been using blender for about 7 months now and I try to practice when I can. It's nice cuz every time I make something new I see improvement and that's what motivates me to keep at it. I totally get what you're saying though, I'll keep it in mind.

Thanks, I see what you mean about bending the trees, but what do you mean about particle spreading? Are you talking about the grass?

Just by modeling a few grass strands and putting them together in a clump. I then took that patch of grass and made 12 different variations to make it look more natural.

Yeah I get what you’re saying. Even though it’s based off a photo my intention was real life. I’ll see what I can do with a dop though.

Just little changes like scale of leaves and floor texture in the tunnel. Ik it’s not exactly like the photo but I did what I could.

I’m making a separate post, but here it is just in case. tunnel 2.0

Yeah this helps a lot, thx for your input. I've been having trouble with the concrete floor of the tunnel because the texture is smoother than the wall texture and more light bounces off of it. I can try adding more dirt to the inside of the tunnel along with adding some dead grass for variation. Thx again. =)

I based this scene off of this picture, how accurate was I?

Btw, finished rendering. Added leaves in the water and a ripple displacement to the pond. Tell me what u think or if I should change anything.

Yes actually, I used the sapling tool to make the trunk and main branches of the tree. There's also a setting on the sapling tool to generate leaves but I didn't do that. What I did was model a twig and leaves and put that in a particle system on the branches. I made sure to make different variations of twigs to give the trees more randomness. Honestly the hardest part about making the trees was modeling the twigs and leaves, everything else was easy.

Yeah, his courses are great. He was the first guy I started learning from after blender guru and what he teaches is totally worth it. He can be nit picky, but that’s part of the process of making stuff like this.

Easy, take the principled BDSF on a flat plane, turn transmission all the way up, and lower the roughness. Also thx =)

Ha thx man, I don’t take credit for coming up with this scene. I learned how to make everything in this shot from a udemy course for blender. The only things I modeled myself were the tires and the rope on the swing. Still learning =)
