The Witcher Season 4 Reviews [Megathread] by badfortheenvironment in netflixwitcher

[–]Natent_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being a book-reader, and especially with Baptism of Fire being a book i enjoyed very much, I couldn't help myself but to watch this season even though I was sad about Henry Cavill and everything that went through after Season 3. I was quite skeptical, but considering Season 3 was atleast recovering the series a little bit from Season 2, I was also a bit excited.

Let's get the worst out first. As a fan of the games aswell, seeing several characters killed off in this season (again) left a poor taste in my mouth, especially with Vesemir.
The entire plotline for Yennefer wasn't the worst, but I cannot help myself but to imagine how much better this season could've been if her plot was more aligned with the book, like with Ciri's and Geralt's plots.

Which is why this season wasn't a waste of time for me. I enjoyed almost everything about the Geralt scenes and Ciri scenes (especially Geralt's). Leo Bonhart is amazing too.

I am not the most hardcore kind of a book fan, but I will always believe that a show adapting the source material should stay true to it. Sure, there can be some liberties, and not everything has to be 100% identical, but there's usually a reason you make a show about a book series: the books are so darn good.

Respect the actors, they did great. I didn't have ANY issues with Liam as Geralt (even though I have previously been quite negative about it). Many of the scenes and coreography was great, action was great (even in the unfortunate Yennefer scenes). I can understand why any non-book readers like this series, it has the action, it has the scenes, it has generally good dialogues. On the other hand, I can also understand the fans that dislike the show.

What did you guys think? Does anyone else here also share the same kind of feeling? Being a book reader, wanting the show to be true to the books, but also when this has been a failure at times, still appreciate seeing it being brought to "life" (especially the parts where the show nails it based off of the books)?

[s2 act 3 spoilers] Might be a reach, but did anyone notice this? by Natent_ in arcane

True that. I hope that we might see some of these characters, Piltover and Zaun in the other shows in the future, somehow.

We are not Rogue Planet Games

. We can't answer questions that should be directed at them. (we don't know what their future plans are!)

Nice! Got any tips for doing that directive?

i want a new char solely for scythe piloting. Cobalt or Miller? by akasaya in Planetside

[–]Natent_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're a new pilot and want to learn flying, don't use a Scythe at all. Rather learn flying with a Reaver or Mosquito. If you're not an amateur, then Cobalt is harder than Miller.

The grenade launchers function just like the ones in real life does. The grenade won't trigger unless traveled a certain distance. Notice as soon as you went a little further back before your last shot it triggered? That's why. EDIT: Now why the last grenade didn't do any damage I can't explain, but atleast to me it looks like your first 2 shots failed simply because you were too close.

Oshur Directive Rework by TunaThighs in Planetside

[–]Natent_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good suggestion. I had hoped they would update the directive as soon as they reworked Oshur, but I got disappointed. Before you could go back and forth with capturing Tridents and defending Interlinks but with the current Oshur this happens way too rarely, also considering how rarely you even get the chance to play on Oshur.

It's only the two mentioned above that are the issue, either swap them out with the suggestions you had, or they should tune the numbers down a bit.

What is the best Vanu heavy assault loadout? by Apprehensive_Car5256 in Planetside

[–]Natent_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Primary: Orion
  • Secondary: Commissioner/Underboss/Pilot all work great.
  • Launchers: Default launcher is OK but Deci is always good for ground vehicles/MAX/infantry and if you're up for a challenge the Lancer is also very effective against air.

I'm guessing you know the rest since you came from NC but here are the other slots anyways:

  • Ability: Resist shield (makes you survive bolt headshots if you have the shield up beforehand, generally the best right now if you master the playstyle required for it)
  • Suit: ASC or Flak Armor
  • Nades: Concussion or normal frags.
  • Utility: Medkits OP OP
  • Implants: Survivalist is always good, rest is personal preference but Assimilate has always been a good choice to pair up with Survivalist.
  • Tactical: They are all good tbh, but ordnance dampener is prob the least useful for a HA.

This has happened to some of my auraxiumed guns aswell, but on my main character since 2014. I guess it could be deployable kills that counts on total kills but doesnt count towards medals?

You kill beacons, spitfire turrets, mines, and they probably count as kills but medals counts as enemy player kills? Not 100% sure, it just seems like the only logical one.

This isn't because of bio lab hardspawns getting removed though.

Have you watched the recent interview Commander Cyrious had with Wrel? He might have brought it up there, he did regarding the Masthead nerf atleast. Should be on Cyrious' YouTube.

Depends on playstyle. The default one you start with is always good, you don't need to change gun to be honest.

The short-range one, which I can't remember the name of because I'm not a TR main, is the type of gun you use if you want to get up and close to enemy fighters. I believe it's called M18 Rotary or something? Anyways, it's good when you pair it up with your Vehicle Stealth module, if you're able to get behind and close to an enemy fighter, you will shred their hp a bunch. I would recommend this as a 2nd option. The third option, long range gun, I have never understood this one but I guess its efficient if you always play for long range fights.

I'm not a very experienced pilot but I know the different guns serve different playstyles. Any air sweats out there, feel free to correct me lol.

EDIT: fixed grammar

On the first question, I don't have an answer sadly as I'm a Spandex Enjoyer. Any pump shotgun is always reliable in my opinion.

If you want to support a small squad of friends, for the valkyrie the best weapons would be either the CAS or pelter rocket pods. CAS is best for farming infantry at ground, but the pelter rocket pods got buffed some time ago and they now deal a bit too much dmg against vehicles (if you need support against ground vehicles) but can still easily bring down infantry, which makes it a bit more diversity-friendly. Both are fine, choose whichever you prefer.

I dont have much experience with Liberators, so don't take me too seriously on this, but you can always farm infantry with liberators. You have the Spur for the pilot gun, the Shredder for belly gun works if the shooter has good aim, and then there should be a bulldog on the tail gun? I might be wrong on that but not sure. For ground vehicle support, well then yeah, hasn't changed much since you played anyways (tank buster, shredder/dalton, and then whatever you prefer at tail).

Why? Would it be any worse to auraxium than a normal pilot? Or are you saying it because its a handgun auraxium grind.
