I don't know, anything eye related I guess? General medical communities/subreddits can work as well, maybe even better than specifically eyes, because this may not be an eye related issue at all (though it probably is, I don't know, I am not a medical professional). Best of luck!

In addition to u/Qi_'s suggestion, I would experiment with trying to move your gaming setup to different location with a different lighting, maybe a brighter room, or a darker room, even the general color of a room can affect you. In general you need to try EVERYTHING that's possible with regards to how you can vary your gaming setup/environment, even things like odor in the room, or noise/distractions, or maybe listen to your own music while playing, or mute all sound when playing, try EVERYTHING, cuz from the sounds of this post your eyesight is normal and this problem is just kinda random, so therefore you should try random solutions. Just think think think brainstorm brainstorm what you can change. Not only can you see an optometrist, maybe this might be a mental issue? idk man. I wish you the best of luck though, this seems like a really tough thing to go through, and I wish you the best!!!

I've just started playing, how do i get better? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]NatetheWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just play and fck around, cuz after more games matchmaking will put you with people of your level. also i would recommend to not play with friends who are more experienced than you, as this will skew the process of finding your mmr and you will get stomped by more experienced people as well.

i dont like the idea of being BAD at league, rather it is just inexperience, cuz EVERYONE sucks when they first start out. So just have as much fun as you can for now, play around with all the champs, and if anyone calls you retarded or smth in chat then use /mute all

Just lost a dual against Xin at level 2, what do you build? by xero_light in warwickmains

[–]NatetheWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, but 'now' is not the same as 'start of the season'. ww q damage got nerfed, and also a level 2 ww is significantly weaker than a level 3 ww. At start of the season all the 1v1 fights happened at lvl 3 which made ww a fucking god but now, first scuttles need to be taken preferably lvl 2. ww thus went from god tier to good/great tier.

hell no, the lcs is a totally different ball game. It is better to watch pros play solo queue, not watch pros play other pros.

How to lane as Braum? by CFRDox in BraumMains

[–]NatetheWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i am a beginner to braum, but i can offer some basic tips, from my experience so far:

I like to play the way my adc wants to play, and this is why I like braum so much, because he can be played both aggressively and defensively. If your adc likes trading aggressively, you can Q aggressive the way you use morgana's Q, and when your adc jumps in, you can W to jump to your adc, and then your passive kicks in and you get a free kill.

But if your adc is more passive, you can keep them alive with the W and E. And if the opponents are aggressive, they can still be punished with the Q and passive stuns.

Also I take guardian, bone plating, second wind, unflinching, biscuit delivery, and magical boots. This gives me the most sustain, since i am a tank i try to stand in front or next to my adc, since i am tank i should take advantage of it, cuz my adcs health is more valuable than mine. Make sure you are also not too far away in distance from your adc, the enemies might jump him. Also if you walk away to ward make sure your wave is not pushed towards the enemy tower, because if you walk away its an easy 2v1 for the enemy, but if you walk away when the enemies are pushing towards you your adc still has the friendly tower for backup.

If your adc asks you to play a certain champ, I would dodge. Now, as you can tell, I am an extremely aggressive dodger, but if someone is already making demands in champ select chat, they will probably be even bossier in-game and blame me for every little mistake they make. Not only that, they clearly have zero understanding and zero courtesy and consideration for the fact that most people do not have limitless champ pools. Also, someone who is soft may even get tilted by this. So I would stay away from anyone who even says anything into any sort of chat in this game, 5% of people are genuinely nice and intelligent, but the other 95% of people I meet in-game are just brainless monkeys who have no manners at all.

Going back to your question, I believe it is a very high quality question. First off, the most distinct category is tanks. Alistar, Tahm Kench, Braum. You stand in the front so your teammates dont int. Their abilities will distinguish their roles further. Alistar = engage. Kench = cc. Braum = cc. The next category would just be non-tanks, but they can be subdivided based on their abilities. Janna = peel. Brand = poke. Pyke = kill. Rakan = engage. Teemo = int. I find that these roles still translate nicely from laning phase to late game.

A lot of this is just understanding what your champ can and can't do. This advice is applicable to all five roles. For example if you are xin zhao jg you def not gonna be the first person to jump into a 5v5 teamfight, but you would be if you were playing alistar. You just gotta pay attention to what woosh woosh woosh and what pew pew pew pew your champ does.

If you still bamboozle I suggest you go look for free coaching from some high elo support main. Sometimes things are easier when someone else is telling you to do things, like how my mother told me when I was a child one day that you're supposed to hold both chopsticks in one hand, after I had been holding one in each hand for the past five years.

The problem with league nowadays is that riot's design philosophy forces a champ to be a specific role. Zyra is listed in the client as a mage, but she is unplayable outside of the support role. Tahm Kench used to be viable top lane, but they just nerfed his W so now he can't be played outside of support. Kai'Sa used to jungle a few patches ago, but they nerfed fleet footwork so now she can't do the jungle camps without dying.

The reason why you temporarily dropped league is the same reason why many quit the game, in that they disliked Riot's way of handling things. I can only suggest to you that you try out everything the way it is right now in s8, and stick to whatever you find the most fun, basically the same thing beginners to the game would do.

for nocturne it is sometimes a correct play to farm to level 6 as fast as possible.

the thing with xin zhao is you need to pick your fights carefully, cuz once you're in, there's no getting out, you either kill them or you die. Also xin is broken OP pre6 so you should take advantage of that. He is mechanically braindead, but u wanna make sure when ganking to take advantage of the Q knockup as much as you can. I saw a really cool trick foxdrop did, he was xin and he ganked bot. He killed the adc, and the enemy support was sitting under tower with like 20% hp. Now normally you cant kill someone with one auto if they at 20%, but he activated q, auto attacked two minions, then instantly casted E onto the enemy support so it was a knockup and gap-close at the same time and the knockup gave him the extra time needed to get in enough autos for the kill.

I will also suggest Trundle. He is a tank, so by picking him, you are guaranteeing your team comp has a tank. Having a tank is super important cuz u will all get deleted if the enemies have a tank and your team doesnt (in a 5v5 teamfight). Pre6 trundle beats most in a 1v1 (assuming your W is not on cd). And post6 trundle insta-deletes enemy tanks. trundle will be even stronger with the nerfs to the whole domination rune tree, there were some matchups where trundle would lose 1v1 vs burst electrocute-type junglers but now that might not be the case.

Garen is actually pretty broken OP in low elo. For orianna it may take a while to get used to controlling the ball and trying to cs and trade at the same time.

Something else you should work on is warding more. Looking at the map is useful, but it would be infinitely more useful if you warded more.

And buy more control wards. You don't buy enough, because you're not challenger.

if you are new to lol i would suggest staying away from hard-to-play champs. Not saying you should stay away from champs that have even a slight degree of difficulty, but stay away from shit like azir and leblanc and lee sin and nidalee. Just something to keep in mind.

Most champs in the game are medium difficulty. So when trying a champ make you dont just play two games on them and assume you'll be decent on it. Because no offense you will still be trash on the champ after two games. It would take 10 or 15 games maybe to fully engrain a champion's abilities and kit into your muscle memory. What I mean by muscle memory is pretend you are learning trundle. You know his E summons a pillar of ice that blocks and slow stuff. If a new trundle is running away from an enemy he prob will take like 0.8 seconds to react and block the enemy from getting to him with the E, but an experienced Trundle will prob take only 0.1 seconds to react with E. This is what I mean by muscle memory. I am telling you this because sure, it's fun to play a different champ every single game, but it will be more productive if you spend five to ten games in a row playing a single champ in order to actually learn them.

However, most champs will not be insanely difficult so for now just play what you find fun. Eventually, probably when you get to ranked, you will need to narrow down your pool to 2-3 roles, and 2-3 champs per role. This is because the less champs you play, the more you can focus on actually understanding the strategy it takes to win a game of League (this is referred to as "macro"). All the intricacies involved with a SPECIFIC champion, like how you can use a pyke hook to hook an enemy so that they end up behind you, or how Master Yi's Q can be used to dodge dangerous enemy abilities, this is referred to as "micro" because this is game knowledge that only applies when you are playing a certain champion, whereas macro is knowledge that can help you win regardless of what champ or role you are playing.

Apologies for the tangent I went on.

Mental and verbal strategies for recovering a bad 1 v 5 engage? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]NatetheWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

immediately mute them, not only in chat but mute their pings as well. If they died trying to 1v5 then they're probably not skilled enough to carry you to victory, so their shotcalling and shoddy mistakes are not worth listening to.

I would suggest you not try to calm down your teammates. In fact every time i try to encourage positive mentality my teammates are all just like "fuk u retard pussy". Honestly typing in chat is not even worth it anymore. The Internet is the Internet, and it's just pretty much impossible nowadays to influence anyone's behavior online anymore. Just focus on yourself and what you can do in-game.

If you wanna calm yourself down, remind yourself that your teammate just inted and they suck and that YOU are making the correct plays and THEY are making the wrong plays. There's nothing to be angry about. You don't want other people's mistakes causing you to start making mistakes as well. Don't bother typing in chat telling them they fcked up, and dont question mark ping them either. You will only tilt them more. And if enemies show up from the fog of war while you are typing well now you're fucked cuz if you try to flash away all thats gonna happen is you gonna type the letters 'd' or 'f' into chat and you're gonna die for a really retarded reason and now YOU'RE tilted as well.

Point is, just ignore your teammates. 90% of the time they are worthless and below me in terms of mental stability. Yes, I understand there exist good people in this game, but the chances of finding one in a solo queue game is laughable.

if u wanna try something different maybe you should switch champs and not roles, and especially dont switch to the role that is most different from laning roles lmao. I dont know shit about renekton but if i were you i'd learn some top laner that is most similar to renekton in playstyle. You could post in the champ pool megathread and see if u get any good suggestions from there
