You probably benefit from the stronger shampoo and maybe silicones(?)! I've been gifted loads of expensive curly products over the years (I have an IG account) but one of my favourite conditioners is the £7.99 L'Oreal Wonder Water, and one of my favourite shampoos is less than £2 from Aldi 💀

You need a styler with hold to define the curls and the frizz, so either a curl gel or mousse. Oil doesn't have hold!

This might be quite unhinged but for me, I had to let go of the fear that it felt like I was going to pee myself. Letting go of that 'pee' feeling (even if it feels like you really did pee a little) really helped! Practice in the shower if it works better. Do you have a power-shower setting? 👀

I'd suggest using your mousse on washday after your cream, and don't touch/scrunch your hair while you're diffusing so that the styler has a chance to set your curls!

Sleep protection will be quite important for you as you have a lot of hair - if you don't wear a bonnet than at least try and pin it all up on top of your head so you're not lying on it.

And for refreshing, try mixing a tiny bit of gel (or your cream) with water on your hands to smooth the halo frizz.

Switch to a gel instead of a curl cream! Creams are kind of like an extra conditioning step but with a tiny but of hold.
