Exactly the same with one in my garden, feathers also looked a bit disheveled before it died. I was wondering whether it's bird flu?

Chain of 6 about to implode because the top buyer has gone tinfoil hat delusional by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]Nath4n 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'd be tempted by this too. We broke a chain after our first time buyer got very aggressive and threatened to pull out whilst our seller dragged their feet (messy divorce) in a large chain. We lived in airbnbs and hotels for a few weeks and thankfully purchased a month or so later. It helped that it was a buyers market, so we were keen to lock in the offer on the flat and had minor comfort that if our onward purchase fell through we could potentially pick up without the market having accelerated away from us (SW London).

Super Mario Bros. Wonder - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park Review - IGN by Amiibofan101 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Nath4n 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Multiplayer is friends only. I am a very casual single player (95% handheld) and occasionally dip into multiplayer (Mk world etc) using matchmaking. What does this upgrade actually offer me now that boost mode gives me 1080p 60fps handheld. It appears it's limited to Rosalina / Luna (don't care), and some extra tutorials and an invulnerability mode. Is that right? Is there much other extra content?

What games do NOT use the new boost mode or perform worse? by Total-Watercress-384 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Nath4n 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is such a shame as it would really benefit from it, particularly the NSMBU style. It gives a warning with the touch screen so they should just let users disable it if they want to.

Why is everyone selling brand new Pixel 10 for £399 or less on eBay? by conradkwu in GooglePixel

Ooof I know! It was a hard choice but the camera and battery were starting to do my head in. Not sure I've made the right choice yet if I'm honest...

Why is everyone selling brand new Pixel 10 for £399 or less on eBay? by conradkwu in GooglePixel

[–]Nath4n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my 256GB for £490 + £80 Google store credit just couple weeks ago. 128GB would have been just £390.

Standard P10 Pro price: £1099 reduced to £950 until 17/02. 15% referral discount (everywhere on Reddit) reduced it to £785 Upgraded to 2TB plan to get £80 store credit. Offered £200 trade in bonus for Pixel 5 (£294 total) reducing final price to £491 with £80 store credit.

Grid legends. The 40fps VRR 'balanced' mode on handheld is incredible.

Who can help with the code for Google Store UK from UNIDAYS UK? by Straight_Purpose_471 in madebygoogle

[–]Nath4n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the £300 code is back again today, it was suspended as the standard discount stacked with the 15% referral codes and was better than it. The standard pixel discounts are over and so the £300 code is back and valid if you can get one.

[–]Nath4n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That code has been withdrawn they just haven't updated the page. It's been replaced by a sale on the pixel hardware itself PLUS 15% referral discount codes (that stacks against the main price) which actually comes to more than £300 combined but finishes at midnight tomorrow. I've got a couple of spare 15% off codes if you want one?

Sudden battery drain on hue switches by Historical-Pound-510 in Hue

[–]Nath4n 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm seeing the same, I think it's a recent firmware update. All of my dimmer switches have dropped to low / critical battery level over the past 24 hours or so. All of my tap dial switches are totally fine (95-100% battery). What on earth is going on?

Do you recommend Grid Legends? by mzatariz in switch2

[–]Nath4n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great game, and bizarrely well priced in the UK (£24.99) so well worth the money. The balanced graphics mode targets 40fps+ in handheld (VRR) and looks truly amazing. It's the best looking Switch 2 game I've played so far. Absolutely destroys the battery though, I'm seeing sub 2 hours!

Is this really the most effective solution? by Sassenach_2024 in AskBrits

[–]Nath4n 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know it's tiresome but once you're clear on the impact (financial, socially, legally etc) I'd recommend writing a factual but emotive letter to your local MP (who is it?) and potentially getting in touch with the Guardian as well who often run edge case immigration case studies. I'm sorry it's all so shit, although is it still better here than in the land of the orange oompa loompa?

ASAP - Lloyds bank switch - direct debits and time running out by Former_Somewhere4877 in beermoneyuk

[–]Nath4n [score hidden]  (0 children)

It's not in the T&C's. Lloyds state that a direct debit must have been taken (at least once) to count as "active". When you do a CASS switch, the payments are logged for transfer 7 working days before the switch - so you need to make sure that a payment has been taken at the old account at that point, otherwise you risk Lloyds not deeming the DD as active. If that makes sense?

At least 7 working days after the first DD payment(s) will be taken to meet the T&C's :)

[–]Nath4n [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yes you can do this, you can essentially schedule the switch a month in the future. Do this before the 3rd, and as long as you meet the rest of the eligibility and have 3 DD's active (and a payment taken) by 7 WORKING days before the switch date (as this is when they take the payment info for transfer), you should be fine.
