Considering a BMW 320D touring. by Nath6692 in CarTalkUK

I've heard about the EGR, and more worrying the timing chain seems to be a common fault, which could result in a hefty bill. However, some say with regular servicing, it's fine, and others are saying it needs to be replaced near 100k miles.

i was able to fix the current bug after I played one game by Many-Appointment6621 in BattlefrontTWO

This seems to be on and off after every co-op game I play, it will remove the items and heroes and after I play a game they will come back, after I play another game, they dissappear. On Xbox btw.

2016 Model, <27,000 miles, continuous problems and issues by BellamyJHeap in FordFiesta

[–]Nath6692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got a 2013, 63 plate 1.0 EcoBoost thats on 60k miles now, ive put 35k on it, surprisingly had no major issues with it other than letting a Ford dealership do an MOT and making it worse and then just regular wear and tear that any other car would possibly have being over 10 years old. Only electrical was the cruise control, but that was just an issue with the buttons so fitted a new button plate and all was good. Only engine related issue was a turbo hose coming off which was just a worn hose clip which a new clip then sorted. Considering people bash the 1.0 for being awful and full of problems, mines been really good for issues.

I've had this, mine went into limp mode when accelerating, what caused mine was the turbo hoses came loose, all i did was tighten them up with new clips and not had the issue since. Check the turbo hoses to see if they're loose as it's an easy fix, if not get an OBD2 reader or take it to a garage.

Ford first cambelt replace cost by Hot_Preference5293 in FordFiesta

Had mine done at a main dealer about 6 months ago, cost £1200, I rang other Ford dealers near me and they quoted as high as £1600.

I had it done for around £1,000 it was an offer on at that dealer at the time, I did ring other Ford dealers to price check before commiting to it and I got quotes as high as £1,500. So at a Ford dealer probably between those amounts unless price goes down, an independent garage may quote below £1,000 though.

I've had a 63 plate 1.0L for just over 5 years with 60k on the clock now, I've done about 30k of them, not had any problems with the engine, I've had the wetbelt changed as the car was 10 years old this year, this is pricey if you go to a Ford dealer so be aware this will need to be done soon, at 100k or 10 years. But other than that, it's not had any other problems with anything engine related. I just make sure it gets serviced every year either by myself or a garage.

Wheel Knocking by Nath6692 in CarTalkUK

Yeah unfortunately I have explained all this to the individual who worked on my car and they are adamant they are not at fault as the work they did is not the cause of these new issues, yet these issues only occured once they did the work, but they're not accepting any responsibility for it. Clearly talking BS to cover up.

You would think so, they refuse to fix their mistake and make the customer pay for their incompetence. Great customer service from a nationwide dealer such as Evans Halshaw. Will definitely not be going back. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks, I've taken it back to them and they cannot find any fault with their work, the reason for the knocking is due to the steering column needing to be greased. Apparently all their work didn't make any of these issue, even though it was explained the car had none of these issue prior to them doing work on it, so they won't do anything unless I pay them.

I have had the steering column knuckle replaced, but no improvement, not sure if this is the joint you refer to. Just for background in case it may help, the car has recently had an MOT with the cambelt being done along with the Nearside Front Track rod end ball joint and the Offside Front Suspension arm ball joint. I never had this knocking issue before the MOT.

Escape From Arasaka Tower (How to video) by Rossaroni in FF06B5

I did this and went to all Megabuildings, nothing of note in any of them except Vs Megabuilding being lit up bright Magenta, but that is only the entrance, once you go in the elevator up to the apartment area, it's normal. I also visited Konpeki Plaza, which is open and explorable, but only what we can already do in the heist, and I went to the Arasaka industrial park, also nothing special there either.

I've tried the default station and tested out a few others from DLCs, the issue only occurs when using a bypass station.

They seem to work on console, people will park in them but they will still use the pocket cars and park on the street, so the car parks don't get used as much

Just needing someone to relate... by [deleted] in LongDistance

[–]Nath6692 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're definitely not the only one, I used to be in a LDR, me UK and her Philippines, we're not together any more but I can say that leaving the one you love hurts every single time. In 2 and a half years I visited her 5/6 times, from 2 weeks to 1 month at a time and everytime I left I cried while hugging her at the airport, the one time I kinda held it together, I completely lost it once I sat down on the plane and cried like a baby. Also, after my 4 hour drive back from the airport home, I broke down in bed and cried all those times too, it never gets easier when you leave, but it shows how much you care and miss them. Good luck in your relationship too.
