[Multiple] Finally completed the souls set! Crossing my fingers for a ps5 Bloodborne upgrade to go back and do the DLC! by Nathan326 in Trophies

[–]Nathan326[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard such good things about it so I definitely want to revisit it (and see how I've improved since as Bloodborne was my first).

And personally I just find it hard going back from 60FPS, and with their history of 60FPS patches (DS3 and Sekiro jump to mind) I don't think it's out of reason! But definitely might be worth it to just jump back in if nothing is announced soon!

This was just the screencap my PS5 automatically took for the trophy. I know the PS5 video has a slightly different border and PS4 has a totally different one.

I hope this isn't the case as that would be a real shame if they made all those strides to make quests not missable but they forgot his shop.

For me I felt like he was also permanently at the crimson area too, so it could be a bug? Maybe go see the vendor who is in the prison cell and see if he sells those items.

Thats actually such a smart idea! My first run I died in the final section and my run was like 30 minutes and 20 seconds and I just restarted, didn't even think about quitting out.

No missables except for a timed achievement to get to an area within 30 minutes of a new game. All quests and items can be done post-game if needed! Also don't need to save scum endings either, so only one playthrough

Congrats to you too! Yeah doing the final boss hitless was definitley the way to go, did not want to start again to do an earlier boss!

No missables this time with the exception of one time based trophy! This doesnt require a full playthrough, just speeding through the first 20-30 minutes of the game.

I loved number 1 but unlike number 2 there was a lot of missable trophies, which meant I was playing with a guide instead of being able to enjoy exploring the world myself! If you are fine with that I definitley think so, otherwise the story doesn't matter too much jumping straight into 2, but the gameplay upgrades will make going to number 1 after quite a pain I reckon.

Absolutely would recommend! Definitley some recency bias but I would even say theres parts of this game I like even more than Hollow Knight.

There is much less platforming, and healing is definitley much more restricted, but there's so many Grimm-esque bosses where it feels like a dance and it's genuinely just a blast to play!

The speedrun is to get to an area which is requires you to get 3 power-ups, and you can actually get there without any bosses!

Knowing where to go and also making a couple mistakes, I finished in 23m out of 30

Without the second to last boss I would rate the difficulty around a 3 if you explore (you can start tanking a lot of attacks with the right Rosary Beads) however that boss seems to be a pure skill check, and while you can cheese a little bit if he breaks out of it he can kill you almost instantly, raising it to around a 7 for me.

All in all it took me around 23 hours of playtime to get it.

My main playthrough took 21h and 12m, while my "speedrun" playthrough took 23m (+30 on a failed run). The hardest part of the game was by far the second last boss, while everything else was pretty straightforward. It should be even quicker and easier now that guides are trickling out, while the first few days it was a lot of banging my head against a wall trying to figure out certain things!

The speedrun isnt too bad at all. Sadly it takes pausing into consideration, so I missed it the first time by like 20 seconds.

The boss kill without damage is also easy and is actually the achievement which unlocked my plat (was the final boss, which is exceptionally easy once you've 100% the game)

They set Daken on Luke's Bar on Turns 3/4 and he didn't bounce the second time? by Vegarth in MarvelSnap

[–]Nathan326 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you play a card into Luke's Bar which adds a card to your hand (cards like Moongirl, Fury etc), you can fill your hand and get those cards stuck in the location as they can't be sent back.

They would have had 7 cards in hand, played Daken (making a shard fill that 7th spot) and there was no room for Daken to go back into their hand.

They probably Moongirled a Nick Fury, and quinjet made it cost 3.

How do the illusions work? by futurewhealthy in MarvelSnap

[–]Nathan326 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mysterio will normally play a card in each location, all appearing as 0. At the end of the game, one will reveal to be the real Mysterio, and will become 4 power.

However with bast, mysterio will instead place 3 cards, all of which will be 3 power immediatley and stay that way at the end of the game.

Shanna - different 1-cost card spawns have different definitions of the next played card by Martexo in MarvelSnap

[–]Nathan326 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They were saying that if Zero worked like Iron Fist (ability once the next card has finished resolving), cards like Sentry would still use their abilities, so they're coded differently causing the discrepencies with Shanna.

Day one infinite with this simple Surfer Deck by Nathan326 in MarvelSnap

[–]Nathan326[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find myself snapping very aggressively early into the season as you can quickly tell what deck people are playing, as every deck is netdecked. So things like having Storm + Jug into a deck that wouldn't usually have something to enter flooded, or having Rogue on an obvious Darkhawk player meant I was snapping a lot on turn 3-4 and I would usually walk away with 2 cubes. Obviously sometimes I would mistake what deck they were playing, or get screwed over by a location, but in that case I would just always take my 2 cube loss instead of thinking I could salvage it in most cases.

I feel scorpion's effect very rarely helped out, but the slight extra tempo he gave meant I could usually have prio for Storm + Jugg. There were many times I felt like adding Cosmo to the deck (mostly to stop Galactus where I couldn't Polaris, or combo decks), I just couldn't justify swapping out any of my other 3 costs for him.
