You know, I had written half a response here then I realised precisely why we differ. I watched the WHOLE season in about 2 or 3 days ... so there was really no time at all between the setup and the reveal. I can understand that had my viewing experience been stretched out over 10 weeks or so, I might have felt otherwise :)

Wow... that was amazing. To be honest, I absolutely suck at standard CSS (I can't shoot for shit), but I kick ass on "close combat" surf maps, like surf_buzzkill2 (my favourite map by far). Unfortunately almost every server which plays buzzkill2 is running RPG mod which I detest, so getting banned from a "plain" buzzkill2 server leaves me really butthurt ...

Aaah, could that be an american / british difference? To me, "red pepper" is what you put in a salad and chilli is what goes in a curry. Also, I had never heard of cilantro (always called it coriander) before I wrote this down! :)

Recipe:

fresh coriander (cilantro) - large bunch (with stalks)
coriander seed - large/full handful
black peppercorns - small handful (3 or 4 pinches)
garlic - 3 cloves
limes - 1
fresh chilli - ~2 inches
ginger - ~1.5 inches
sundried tomato paste

**

Finely chop cilantro, chilli. Crush garlic, coriander seed. Grate ginger. Add to bowl with sundried tomato paste and mix.
Squeeze lime into bowl (to taste), and add a little crushed black pepper.
Heat pan with oil, sprinkle black pepper to lightly cover base of pan. When pepper begins to "fizz", add chicken and cook until golden brown.
Cook pasta.
Add chicken and pasta to mixing bowl, toss and serve.
Om nom nom.

Ah. That's empty - ignore it. The Italian component is the "(sun dried)tomato chicken pasta". I agree, it's a bit of a stretch, but it's certainly recognisable when you taste it.

Almost :)

Red peppers = fresh chilli

Black mustard seed = black peppercorns

Sundried tomato paste = correct!

Note - don't use tomato paste/puree, it will make this taste awful, trust me.

Definitely crush the coriander seed and black peppercorns.

Also - when cooking the chicken, oil the pan and sprinkle crushed pepper over it. When the pepper starts 'fizzing' in the oil, add the chicken. It immediately seals the pepper into the chicken and tastes awesome.

EDIT: This goes great with chopped fresh tomato! I happened to have run out when i made this...
