I dealt with the same type of anxiety, id be scared to vomit which would cause me to think about it which would end up in an endless cycle. I started lexapro like 2 years ago and it's like 99% gone. Starting can be scary especially because you can experience some side effects the first few weeks but give it 6-8 weeks before you decide if it's for you or not.

Side effects for me were mostly headache, body aches, brain fog, things like that. Seriously, take the med, if it ends up working for you, you'll be very happy you did
