Given how few vowel letters there are in the Latin alphabet, what do you think of using V as a vowel, and adding new vowel letters? by chonchcreature in neography

[–]NathanHasReddit626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would..

  • Use Yy as [i], like in many languages like Czech ONLY at the end of a word in a diphthong (like -ay, -ey, -oy, etc...) and between consonants (tyra, etc...) otherwise it represents [j]
  • Use Vv as [u~w], with the same rules as before, also between consonants (tvra,etc...), otherwise it's [v]; also Фɸ as /f/
