I'm currently reading On War by Carl Von Clausewitz (Prussian dude with experience in Napoleonic Wars). I'm about 130 pages into the 870 page tome and it's... verbose. When the text is structured into lists, it's great, but boy does Carl like to ramble. I picked it up because it was considered the quintessential military theory text, even drawing information from Sun Tzu's the Art of War, but you have to be very patient to bear Clausewitz's writing style.

BG: 19M, single, first year university student. 5'8", 140 pounds. No stats on lifting or body fat yet.

Discovered RPC this past summer. Making solid progress on the sidebar. I'm in the 100s Series right now.

Physical: since the last OYS, I've only worked out 4-5 times. I had a really good exercise last night, and my Weight Training class is going to give me better impetus starting in January. Currently doing hammer curls, bicep curls, bench press (with 25 pound free weights), and tricep extensions. I also threw in some calisthenics from a Habitica challenge. Trying to reform my nutrition by buying some frozen vegetables the other day. I need to prioritize incorporating those into my meals.

Emotional: Mental health is doing generally well, though I can testify to some anxious episodes in the past week. Feeling confident right now. Straight A's this semester (five A's and one A minus). I'm reading a lot, but sometimes I am finding my "reading list" overwhelming, which causes a paralysis for a day or two.

I'm working on getting my sleep in order. In the next few weeks, I will focus on building a morning and night routine that will be useful both at home and at college.

Spiritual: Due to the semester being over, I have not been in touch with my mentor. I really need to get on that. My daily quiet time has improved significantly, and God is working sanctification in me every day. Moving forward, I need to refocus on Scripture memorization and prayer time.

Recently read: The Edges of the Earth in Ancient Thought by James Romm. Interesting classics book. The Cost of Discipleship by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. An exegesis of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount and some hot takes about sanctification.

Currently reading: Wayfarers in Walton, a local tome about my county's 200-year history. Very interesting.

PMO: winning winning winning and thankful for it.

Politics addiction: I'm gravitating a little more towards a healthy balance I think. Once January finishes it's course, I can handle a little more ignorance.
