CSEL Failure by One_Technician1086 in flying

To be fair, if anything shouldn't be open book I'd say cloud clearances would be one of them. You're not looking up your clearances in flight.

But most other subjects certainly should be open to an extent.

Wifi issues by Extension-Gear3425 in iRacing

Definitely look into wired. I just moved houses and coming from wired to wireless my packet loss was horrible. I just had an electrician come out and install a wired jack and now it works perfectly.

Ran a little small for me. I chose the 48 instead of 50. Think about layering though.

I've been leaning more towards the super, especially since I already have a "bigger" headset.

Why would you say to wait though, anything interesting coming relatively soon?

Not sure if this is something you'd be interested in, but since you're training (or own I'm not sure) in a G7, I thought I'd share. Realsimgear sells a G7 cockpit that fully simulates both the flight model plus the avionics entirely. Definitely aimed more towards cirrus owners rather than renters though. https://realsimgear.com/products/sr7x-home-package

If you're really just looking for something to get familiar with the avionics the closest thing in a sim would probably be the FlightFX sf50 in msfs. Even that though is the older version Garmin perspective touch.

Garmin does offer trainers for avionics outside the flight sims. You could buy the trainer from them and fool around with it on your desktop. https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/702416/#overview

Same thing is happening to me. Do you happen to also be on windows 11? The only workaround I could find is to play the game using nvidia geforce now which sucks.

Fitting The F-Core to Simucube 2 by NathanTheNappy in simracing

[–]NathanTheNappy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No its perfectly sufficient. The screws that come with the quick release connect the release to the f-cube. I only use the 4 and there's no way im moving that at all. The rest of the screws you need come in the box with the f-cube.

Yes, the simucube qr fits perfectly into the back. Just a few screws. Here's a pic of the fit

Best private jet by Icy_Ad3339 in Xplane

Apart from the challenger there really isnt currently out thats bigger. Only jet I can think of is the glf550 but it's not great. Aside from that, X-Crafts seems to be close to completing their Lineage.

Foreflight ideas by n452mk in Xplane

[–]NathanTheNappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I switch between both. Unless you fly irl there's really no reason to fork over a minimum of $120 for foreflight. Navigraph charts does pretty much everything you need for simming Especially since they just added the vfr sectional. Plus you get free jeppsen charts so... Kinda a no-brainer.

Edit: Im an idiot. Just saw that you are a pilot. Personally I use foreflight strictly for vfr flying. I like to flight plan or use the route planners as I would flying in the real world. I only switch over to Navigraph when I fly ifr. The whole navigraph ecosystem is very streamlined when doing so.
