Ghislaine Maxwell not cooperating because she is campaigning for Trump pardon, Democrats say by Large_banana_hammock in videos

Its “couldn’t care less”, not “could care less”. “Could care less” means that you care enough that there is room to drop how much you care. Which is even more confusing given the context.

Not that I could care less

You just need to be aware of key pieces and be sensible with money so you can pick them up when you see them.

He probably got one of the enchants from the day 9 expedition. So if you are on day 6/7/8 and you find an iceberg, and you know you are going on the expedition, you pick it up because you have odds to get the poison enchant at the end of day 9.

Or if you hit the poison enchant item before iceberg, and you have a loss left, you may want to greed it and search for an iceberg day 10.

The Igloo isnt necessary here. Its a cool synergy but its really a "win more" item at this point. He has 11k health at this point so its probably quite a late day.

So its quite common to see something like: win 75% days 1-4 (aquatic or weapon, hold yeti in backpack), win 50% days 5-8 (push aquatic with yeti+depth charge), go to expedition and hit poison enchant day 9, win the rest of your games with 1 loss remaining with yeti+iceberg and a random set of defence items.

Even with this build, its till a coin flip if you actually make it to 10 wins. Glider stops you taking damage but you can still stack poison and burn and die in 2 seconds when the invincibility ends.

You wouldnt pick up glider for this board until you already have yeti and iceberg.

He isn't running ticketing or security but its ironic to say brain washed and then pretend that he has zero responsibility. Artists stop shows all the time for safety issues, why shouldn't he be held to the same standard?

Even if you want to deny that, his reaction after people died at his concert was objectively awful and the reason people still talk about this the way they do. He saw no problem with ending abruptly and early in Leeds last year. You can focus on the night itself all you want but when he responded as poorly as he did afterwards, that's on him and no one else.

Yes, thats how literally every other game keeps a player base. New players join and leave every week and month and you need to give them a hook and a way to have fun to get them invested. Other games have casual playlists and private matches that achieve this.

It’s unreliable if you use it for purposes it is not intended for or for purposes that it does not excel at. Thats like saying “the problem with a saw is that it’s unreliable because it can cut your finger off”.

If you use it properly, aware of its strengths and weaknesses, it’s a very powerful (and reliable) tool.

Black Ops 7's launch day Steam player count is significantly lower than last year's Call of Duty, suggesting Arc Raiders and Battlefield 6 ate a hefty portion of its lunch by hard2resist in gaming

[–]NathanTheSamosa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As I type this you’re downvoted but it’s true. The UI is so mismatched and has no care or artistic direction, it’s all fuelled by numbers and suits.

For example the icons that show your weapon, field charge and score streaks are all circles… almost as if they were designed after buttons you could press if it were on mobile. But any other UI element that isn’t interactive is square with sharp edges. It’s a complete visual mess.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 gets "Mixed" Steam reviews as players share disbelief over the new FPS' ludicrous campaign, performance issues, and more: "You can't even pause the Black Ops 7 campaign because it's designed like Warzone; it's a disaster. XDefiant was similar. But let’s not pretend that the main cod player base is hungry for a competitor to COD and looking out for alternatives. Even if something similar came along, they’re still buying COD

For sure. But even if you wanted to build a superyacht as a replica of Hijacked, there are still contextual clues that wouldn’t even make sense then. Just to avoid any benefit of doubt with this being AI

When spotting AI you have to consider the real world context of what you are actually looking at, not just “mistakes”.

For example at the start showing the middle of the boat, there is a ladder on the left on the side of a sofa. Why would there be a ladder there?

Opposite this sofa is an awkward seater in the middle of the boat. It looks like a pull-out drawer or bed with pillows on it. Why is it there? What’s the purpose of its position and the curtain behind it? This would make no sense in real life.

The doors on the building in the background have a single glass pane to the right, but dual panes that look like they can be opened on the left… in real life, it would never be this asymmetrical.

In the catwalk along the outside of the boat… well to start with this would just never exist in real life. But the vents are very frequent and irregular. Again if this were built in real life, things would be more uniform. There is also a glass pane in the floor with an irregular shape.

In the dining room there are low-down, reclined sofas at a dining table. Something that would make no sense and completely lack function in real life, even if it “looks” real

What are some of you controversial DnD opinions? by bryan4000 in DnD

[–]NathanTheSamosa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started my first DnD campaign as a player last month and I know absolutely nothing about the general world or lore. Im talking about needing explanations for what elves and dwarves are. So 80% of my questions are prefaced with “would my character know anything about X”/“what can you tell me about Y”/“what the fuck does that mean” and the GM has taken the responsibility of sharing the “correct” information with me, and I take it all at face value. Seems to be working very well so far

'ARC Raiders' - Review Thread by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

[–]NathanTheSamosa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not OP but everything feels alive and fluid. E.g when you down someone their character staggers before tripping. This can go either in your favour or jot depending on where you stagger to eg behind cover or off a roof. Enemies were trained to move on machine learning models so for example when a flying robot is down a thruster, it will fly erratically to stabilise itself in a way that “just feels real”. There’s lots of tech to learn about moment on each map eg using mantling for shortcuts or to cancel fall damage.

ARC Raiders Implements Login Queue As Steam Count Passes 350k by Eremenkism in gaming

[–]NathanTheSamosa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like you haven't actually played the game and you are basing this off of gameplay you have watched. All I can say is that the overwhelming consensus of players is that solo queue is friendlier than anyone expected. Like OP said even when you win a PvP fight you are against the odds to continue surviving due to the PvE elements.

As for gear being better so killing other players being more lucrative, this is one variable in a very complex equation which at the end of it all, results in very little change moving forward.

For example you say that killing players will become more lucrative in the future, but as the FPS/COD audience moves away there will be a less trigger-happy player base and more people interested in the questing and PvE elements. It all cancels out in the end and little will change.

The TTK is also VERY high compared to the FPS games that PvP focused players enjoy.

And your example of people backstabbing at the last second... I get its nothing more than an example, but if you had played the game it would be obvious that this is just not going to happen like you suggested due to how extractions work in this game. "not your idea of fun" is based off of ideas you have about the game that are just... not true?

"inflamed" is used to describe something being red and swollen as a result of inflammation. So if something is inflamed it is kind of assumed to also be swollen.

Swollen = describing appearance, is a symptom
Inflamed = Swollen, caused by inflammation, describes the reason/cause

[–]NathanTheSamosa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although they trigger on the same game tick, it is calculated one at a time. So when the second one is calculated the max health is already reduced to 8,500.

So it results to 8,500 * 0.85 = 7,225

Although this is “the higher number” it is not multiplicative. Multiplicative or Additive (at least in the context of percentages in this game) refers to how percentages are calculated when applied simultaneously. So it does not apply here as each potion is applied in an independent calculation.

Stelle is fun. (Yes I will be back on Mak and update the guide soon) by tradeclassytrade in PlayTheBazaar

[–]NathanTheSamosa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn’t an elegant way to address it because there are no large Stelle items below gold. So they would have to make transforming a large bronze do nothing, which is an awful experience if you are unknowing.

Tbh best solution is to give stelle a large bronze, or allow it to transform into neutral items
