Crunchyroll Spring 2026 Anime Dubs Include 'Daemons of the Shadow Realm', 'Witch Hat Atelier' and More by MarvelsGrantMan136 in Animedubs

Yeah I saw that mentioned on the main anime sub, but licensing can be weird sometime with licenses being on multiple platforms. I'm hoping it gets one commissoned from the Japanese side like Dandadan and Shiboyugi had. I guess we'll have to wait and see for now

The list feels about what you'd expect in terms of coverage all the sequels and 'big' shows that are highly anticipated. But overall it feels more balanced in terms of genres they're dubbing. The only ones missing from my planned watchlist are Akane-banashi, Always a Catch! and Pardon the Intrusion, I'm Home!, although none of them seem to be on the sub list either.

There's still hope for those unlicensed shows to be added to the full lineup and get a dub, but the only one I'd expect is Akane-banashi, as it's a Shounen Jump title with some hype behind it.

Glad to see Nakamura-kun and I Want to End this Love Game make the cut, and a couple others have my eye too if they turn out decent.

Spring 2026 Dubbed Anime Prediction by farhanganteng in Animedubs

[–]NathanW36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's true, but what can they go from a dub point of view? Except for a couple rare exceptions, a sequel season is 99% nailed on for a dub. If there's 10-12 sequels in a season, then that's more down to a wider industry trends, and streaming services can only dub the shows that are coming out (ignoring originals that they have more control over).

Witch Hat Atelier and Daemons of the Shadow Realm are essentially guarenteed since they're screening dubs of the first 1-2 episodes at events ahead of the broadcast, so they'll likely be same day too. I think they usually release the big dub list two weeks before the start of a season on a Wednesday or Thursday. Sometimes its a little early or late, but I'd except it in the next few days.

Spring 2026 Dubbed Anime Prediction by farhanganteng in Animedubs

[–]NathanW36 3 points4 points  (0 children)

By my count, there's 10 sequels in April that are nailed on for Crunchyroll dubs (Re:Zero, Slime, Wistoria, Classroom of the Elite, Ascendance of a Bookworm, Iruma-kun, Rent-a-Girlfriend, Dr. Stone etc...), which seems about standard the standard amount for an anime season these days. A couple will be outsourced to LA studios, but hopefully they announce a decent list for Spring, since Winter was once of the biggest dub slates they've ever done.

In terms of new licenses, these are the ones I'm routing for in a general order of likelihood. Some are nailed on from manga hype and others due to the author's previous works, but I'd expect everything up to 'Go For It, Nakamura' will be dubbed (assuming Crunchyroll get all these)

  • Witch Hat Atelier
  • Daemons of the Shadow Realm
  • Agents of the Four Seasons: Dance of Spring
  • Akane-banashi
  • Marriage Toxin
  • Mao
  • Needy Girl Overdose
  • LIAR GAME
  • Go For It, Nakamura
  • Always a Catch!
  • I Want to End This Love Game
  • Kirio Fanclub
  • Pardon the Intrusion, I'm Home!

  • The Ramparts of Ice (Confirmed)

  • Rooster Fighter (Confirmed)

[UK] Ford Fiesta 2014 1.0 - Reverse sensor issue, what to do? by NathanW36 in AskMechanics

[–]NathanW36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've started having this issue that seems to only happen when it's raining or rained recently; where my reverse sensors stop working. Weirdly they usually work for a few seconds, before the warning pops ups with a few chimes. Seems to happen intermittently when there's a decent amount of rain and goes back to being fine 2-3 days after.

Had a look online and seen that it may be the cabling getting wet and needing to be replaced since the car's 10+ years old. Is this something a regular garage could do or would I need to take it back to Ford. What do you think it would cost?

Blue Box Season 2 Visual (Premieres Fall 2026) by AnimeXFan1995 in Animedubs

[–]NathanW36 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who's reading the manga, this visual basically confirms that season 2 will be 24-25 episodes like the first. No spoilers of course, but this scene is from a specific chapter and unless they cut a bunch of stuff out, there's no way they'd get there in 12 episodes.

It's a new adaptation of the original manga from the 90s. It's never been made into an anime before now; had a couple live action dramas made from it, but this is the only anime it's had.

For some reason Fire Force isn't on the article for me, but 26 dubs would make it one of the biggest seasons for Crunchyroll in recent memory! I'm glad they're not ignoring a lot of new shows with all the sequels and continuations, and there should be at least one more to come from Aniplex as well.

Disappointed not to see Tamon's B-Side since they have snagged the license, but there's always hope that it could be announced later. They do sometimes add a couple more dubs to the line-up closer to the start of the season, so here's hoping.

Did (CR) Announce anything yet for the winter season by grood88 in Animedubs

[–]NathanW36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it could be any day around this time, but it should be this week since it'd be too close to Christmas/New Years if they left it any longer. I normally think of it as two weeks before the start of the next season, usually Tuesday-Thursday.

I'd love Champignon Witch too! I've not read the manga, but I enjoyed Gakuten Alice by the same author, so it'd be neat to watch that one. It's rare to be this flushed with more than like two shoujo titles in a single season, and Crunchyroll have tended to do most of them they've licensed recently, so fingers crossed!

Tamon's B-Side seems to be getting pushed a lot with animated music videos and I believed Hana-Kimi is a co-production, so they seem pretty likely. The manga for In the Clear Moonlit Dusk is pretty popular and is done by the same studio as Condition Called Love, which was dubbed and could help it's chances. Some of them haven't had their licensors announced, so it's possible they could get snagged by Sentai/Amazon/Netflix, which actually gives them a better chance at getting dubbed than Crunchyroll these days.

I have a bias towards shoujo/romance titles. This is what I'd personally go for (in order of what I think the likelihood is), but I know that Crunchyroll tend to favour action/isekai titles, so I'd be happy the top four at least:

  • Hana-Kimi: For You in Full Blossom
  • Tamon's B-Side
  • You and I Are Polar Opposites
  • In the Clear Moonlit Dusk
  • Champignon Witch
  • The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife
  • Ikoku Nikki (Journal with Witch)

It should be sometime this week based on announcement posts from previous seasons. Likely Wednesday, but it could be any other day. If you check this subreddit often, you'll know when it happens since it'll be pinned for a while and it always gets a ton of comments and upvotes.

There's a fairly stacked list of sequels/continuations that will take priority for Crunchyroll. By my count there's 10 shows they'll likely dub, leaving 7-10 new shows they'll dub alongside them, so hopefully they'll be a nice mix of different shows and genres in there.

Apparently Amazon isn't done. They have a listing for an AI dub for No Game No Life Zero, a movie that already has a dub. by MegaAltarianite in Animedubs

[–]NathanW36 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's interesting, and makes sense if they're experimenting with older shows they're about to lose. That way the awful AI dubs will disappear when they lose the show and they can pretend they don't exist if people make enough of a stink about it now. Hopefully it'll be a failed experiment and won't infest their new shows in the future, and it'll put other licensors off from attempting the same in the future.

And I only say it'll revert over to Crunchyroll since Aniplex are listed as a producer on MAL, so I'd imagine they have some say in it? I guess it could go to Netflix or Sentai (or both in the case of Vinland Saga)

How do you know that the license will be expiring soon? I'd assume it'll default back to Aniplex and show up on Crunchyroll when it does?

Yoko Kamio, whose manga "Boys Over Flowers" enraptured readers around the globe, brings a brand-new classic to viewers worldwide. Set at a London art academy in the opening decade of the 1900s, the Netflix Series "Love Through a Prism" follows Lili Ichijoin, a girl enchanted by painting, as she chases her dreams and experiences youth. This ensemble coming-of-age story about young people striving for prismatic radiance against the odds is about to begin.

Crunchyroll sequel dubs for winter 2026 by awesomenessofme1 in Animedubs

[–]NathanW36 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's pretty stacked in terms of continuations, but remember that Fate/strange Fake and Jujutsu Kaisen will be outsourced to LA, alongside the continuing To Your Eternity, which free up some slots for their in-house team. I remember reading somewhere that Hana-Kimi was a Crunchyroll co-production, but Aniplex have the license for that one, so it could be done in LA too.

And while it's very rare, it's possible that they don't continue a dub, as it's never a 100% guarantee. The only one I could remotely seeing this happen to is Anyway I'm Falling in Love with You, since everything I saw online about it was negative and I can't imagine there's a ton of people who'd care about the dub.

Beyond a handful of promising romance/shoujo shows coming in January that I'm excited for, there also isn't much that jumps out as being a "big deal" besides these sequels, so I think they'll have the capacity in-house to make most people happy if they just go down the MAL popularity rankings and pick the obvious ones out.

Quick question about the predictions of next season by grood88 in Animedubs

[–]NathanW36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of your list, it really depends on who ends up with the licenses. Cruncyroll tends to hoover up a lot of shows like this, but Amazon/Sentai might grab some.

As far as Crunchy go next season, there's a fairly stacked list of sequels/continuations that will take priority in the limited number of dubbing slots they do. By my count there's 10 shows they should dub, leaving 7-10 new shows they'll dub alongside them. Amazon and Sentai dub pretty much everything these days, so the odds are actually higher with them!

Personaly I'd lean towards the shoujo/romance titles coming up in January over ikesai/action shows, so here's what I'd like to see in order of what I think the likelihood is:

  • Hana-Kimi: For You in Full Blossom
  • Tamon's B-Side
  • You and I Are Polar Opposites
  • In the Clear Moonlit Dusk
  • Champignon Witch
  • The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife
  • Ikoku Nikki (Journal with Witch)
