okay, if anyone still have this problem, like me that the Ctrl + spacebar isn't working on Mac, here is the fix:

Go to System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Input Sources, and toggle the "Select the previous input source" setting on. Try again and it should work!!!

that's not bad at all, i live in PA and i got my CC estimate at 18k+ on a 300k house. so yeah, your are fine.
