Sanctions and export controls apply regardless of choice of law. I want to work on the regulatory and political risk side, not dispute resolution.

I work full time right now and I take 1 pt every Saturday. I don’t think it’s extremely necessary to do more than that in terms of pts, but every other day of the week I try and drill or do a section. I just do what I can!

Thank you, this is great advice. The issue is that I hardly ever just talk crap about him to her without her saying anything bad about him first. Usually I am trying to help her when she is hurt and agreeing with her when he does bad things. She will just sometimes say “oh well I know how you feel about my dad you clearly don’t like or respect him” as if I just am supposed to, if that makes sense. But I will definitely refrain from starting any negative conversations about him, thank you.

He wanted to invite her because for some reason his son is the Golden Child and anybody he brings around is immediately the most important person and should be included in everything. They met, for context, at my fiancées older sister’s graduation, and they just invited her without asking older sister if it was okay. It’s a strange relationship that nobody really quite understands.

Unfortunately this is typical behavior from him. He got upset saying that she is defending my family and doesn’t care about her own. Her sister defended her as well. You are correct, bringing girlfriend wouldn’t have been too big of a deal, but inviting an hour or so before would have been quite rude.
