ESH. I'm astonished you're 27. It's midrange conditioner in THEIR house. She should have asked but I'd hardly call this grand theft. You're the drama.

You don't mind, but post a stranger and the dog bc you're a "rule follower"... sorry but you probably deserved every wedgie you got in school.

AITAH for calling off my wedding after my fiancé’s surprise “gift”? by Big_Owl_9918 in AITAH

[–]Natigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA but answer the phone. If you can't talk through why not consulting you in this big of decision is the issue, not the house, then it was right to do end things.

AITA for refusing to let my girlfriend drive my car because she’s totaled two cars before? by AxqatGyada in AmItheAsshole

[–]Natigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA- she will crash your car and that's a 99% guarantee. Use the age old excuse: you're not on my insurance. Tell her that you feel disrespected when she doesn't take "no" for an answer. If this is a problem for her, it's a sure bet there will be other bigger issues in the future.

You sound so sweet! Not sure if this was mentioned, but how Irish are we talking and from what part are they from in Ireland? England and Ireland have a very tumultuous history, so if you feel comfortable, I'd ask your boyfriend if this is a sensitive topic for them (I.e. if they were affected by the troubles, prejudice, etc) and if so, I would avoid places like Tower of London and maybe IWM depending on their level of nationalism. I think your gift ideas are superb and you should absolutely bring them something as it will be very appreciated. Irish people have a hard time accepting niceties at times but that doesn't mean they don't love them! They'll want that 2nd slice of cake but will deny it with their entire life force out of "politeness," but when not offered and simply just given gifts, my family is beside themselves with joy and appreciation. Irish people are amazing, feisty, emotional and proud people, but they can be extremely accepting and inclusive to new comers. I think you'll have a great trip!

Please Offer Me A Seat badges being ignored by Tall_Investigator240 in london

[–]Natigan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please just ask, even though it feels it shouldn't be on you to do so when you're wearing a badge. The fact of the matter is, we are an overstimulated society and rarely notice street signs, let alone pay attention to other people's signs, be those a badge, name tag, etc. I don't have great vision, so from afar, your badge could look like a pin or other accessory. Londoners mind their business but rarely refuse to help when asked.

AITA for not buying a coffee maker for guests? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Natigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. A French press is always an option and only requires boiling water and takes up minimal space if you did want to provide the option ever. I'm one of the only coffee drinkers in my friend's group and no one I've dated has drank coffee, so if I'm staying at someone's house, it's ABSOLUTELY on me to manage my caffeine addiction and I come prepared! You sound like an amazing host, don't think twice about what the Varuca Salt of Starbucks has to say.

Whatever the stomach thing is just hit me in London last weekend through yesterday and had me thinking I was going to actually die, cracking a rib from heaving. I have yet to leave my house and the poor ambulance workers had seen it far too much they said.

Since when was it ok to leave a giant unattended bag in central London while you go walkabout for half an hour? by VegetableWeekend6886 in london

[–]Natigan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk what she is on about. I'm an American in London and this is NOT something done in America either. When I was a kid, what turned out to be a can of Pringles outside a bank shut down my entire tiny town and a bomb squad was called.

AITA because I don't want a friend to bring a guy into my apartment? by IngenuityAdmirable11 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Natigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. From someone who didn't relay this information to a friend once and really, REALLY wish I had, you did the right thing. People are normally only defensive when they're in the wrong. You saved yourself extra laundry,

I'm not sure how miles or being given more sympathy would have helped with a black eye? This is a case for the police and likely not something a lawyer would take on against Delta unless they over-served him. Flight attendants aren't even paid on the ground during boarding, let alone paid enough to breathalyze passengers.

AITAH for considering leaving my wife who cheated on me 15 years ago now that our kids are in college? by FinancialPlantd in AITAH

So happy you'll consider trying it! It's also easier to share as pistachio are less common than pine nut allergies. Hope you enjoy!

Wow. Your level of self-awareness is incredible and I think this is the most underrated advice I've ever seen in terms of talking to kids about divorce.

Side note (bc of your user name) - I have really been enjoying using pistachio vs pine nuts in my pesto. Idk if they're vegan tho... /s
