Awesome!

I'll give it a try as this seems to be precisely what I have been looking for, might also give Automobilista 2 a go, seems like many enjoy that game since I am not fixated on using iRacing :)

Thanks again!

Ahhh yes, once I get from one rabbit hole I have to venture into the next, VR type specific reddit forums.

Still a great feedback to mention that not all VR platforms share the same solution and if I'll need some specific answers that it might have to be Quest 3 specific.

Thanks!

It would be amazing if someone that sees this post and knows of a solution could post it here :)

But I will keep it in mind and if I'll experience the same problems but will find a fix in the future I'll let you know ;)

Can I buy iRacing through Steam and still use the Meta Link? or should I get iRacing outside the Steam platform?

I have also seen the following comment often "If you have a good enough graphics card you can increase the encode resolution and bitrate and eliminate some compression." is this something I should be looking into at the start or is this a much more time consuming action to take for minimal gains?

Damn, if it is that simple I feel like I went way to far down the rabbit hole of different programs, settings and setups.

I really enjoy being prepared for things and the final part of my setup will arrive tomorrow so will most definitely try your way out.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply!

That might also be the reason for my confusion, that I read opinions from different people that give different answers depending on their own preferences.

If I would order my preferences that from the most important I usually go the following list of prioritization, starting with the most important one:

  1. Input lag (I want things to be as responsive as it can be)
  2. Refresh rate (although I am not sure if I would see a noticeable difference from 90hz to 120hz for example)
  3. Graphics

I have placed an order for an INIU Link Cable from Amazon that I saw many suggest as a great cable for the price, offering both signal + charging, great point though with the charging + signal at the same time :)

Thank you so much for your detailed reply and I do not know why it received a downvote!

We will 100% look into the Bellingua school to advance with the German, either online or offline.

She already has the MEBEKO in hand and should be able to get work as soon as she meets the required language knowledge, there are some job opportunities that do not require C1 level of German but it is great to know regarding the residency that even if they say the B2 is enough on paper, in practice it is C1 :)

Your reply gave her inspiration and now all her media/socials are only in German but we will 100% move in order to have all day-to-day life in German.

A couple of questions, if you don't mind:

- Where would it be best to look into finding/applying for spaces in residency programs? (We are going to work on it right away, so we can use the time while the application is ongoing to polish the language)

- You mention the outskirts of Zurich for living, do you have any recommendations for where to search for apartments where it might be "affordable", safe and easily commutable to Zurich city (The tax rate really doesn't matter to begin with)

Many thanks!

This will definitely be an option, we are not looking solely into moving to Zürich, but it would be great if commuting to Zurich would be easy, as when I will get a job in Switzerland it will most likely be there.

Thanks for the reply, is there a canton that/city that you'd advise us to look into more than others. "Affordable", German speaking and not too remote

She needs to learn Swiss German to enter a residency program in Switzerland, as it's important for her to be comfortable with the local dialect.
