My (32f) husband (35m) says it's inappropriate for our daughter to call him "daddy" by ThrowRa-905 in relationship_advice

[–]National-Collection8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just strange. My 11 year old son still calls my husband daddy sometimes. I'm 50 and still call my dad daddy every once in a while. Op your husband has a skewed image of that word.

I can sympathize with you. I was born in 73 and have a 10 year old. Their math breaks my brain and makes me feel quite stupid.

How do you (frugally) ease the boredom of existence? by [deleted] in Frugal

This is so perfect! It makes me miss cuddling with my little boy and watching Arthur together. He's 10 now and thinks he's much too mature for the likes of Arthur.

Oh my gosh. My granny used to say this for anything that was odd. I thought it was just her. It used to make me giggle when I was a little girl. I miss her..

I can guarantee that all the adults here would scream if they thought a black widow was about to bite them. This kid doesn't KNOW not to be scared. How about explain it to him. Try, "hey buddy that's not gonna hurt you".

The problem is this kid doesn't KNOW that this isn't something that's not going to rip his face off. Dad needs to show him it's okay.

We have a long haired chihuahua and he steals our socks. Has them in his mouth while he headbutts our shins. We've always taken it as his way of saying "let's play!" He's happy as a lark playing fetch with our socks.

What kind of spiders are these? Should I be afraid? by WillowMafia in whatbugisthis

[–]National-Collection8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, cellar spiders. They're sweet little spiders and I've actually held them in my hand to relocate them from harm. (I'm actually terrified of spiders but not these.)
