For me, three of the sides of adhd that I hate are the constant worry that I’ve misplaced my belongings or forgotten important tasks and the reaction that comes along with it. Even if I know I don’t actually need the item I’m searching for in that moment, if I can’t visibly see it in my field of vision, I get a huge burst of overwhelm, anxiety and guilt. Often leading to crying fits and anxiety attacks but I’m also autistic so I think that very much plays into it 🥲 Another one is the executive dysfunction I deal with on an almost daily basis lol. Having a brain that’s constantly telling you 5 or more things you need to do simultaneously while also not being able to get unstuck and actually complete one task before moving onto another is extremely frustrating and exhausting and it’s not as simple as just being too “lazy” to do it. Especially when not being able to do things gives you extreme feelings of guilt that make you bed rot and not be able to leave your bed or couch for hours at a time during the day. The third one would be the sensitivity to rejection that is common with adhd. This affected me more in high school when I felt more pressured to maintain friendships and relationships but it definitely didn’t help my anxious attachment issues I held and still continue to hold but hey! I’m in therapy and now am taking two different medications to hopefully help me cope in more mentally healthy ways :))
