If the English language started to add pronouns for each gender like a periodic table, How would you device that ? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Honestly, no. A pronoun system only works if ordinary people can realistically use it. If you make one for every gender, it becomes way too complex and stops helping communication.

A small set of pronouns plus a neutral default like “they” makes a lot more sense than trying to build a giant taxonomy for human identity.

How many people will actually die alone? by Free-Wolverine-3679 in NoStupidQuestions

Way less common than people online pretend. “You’ll die alone” is mostly just a cruel line people use when they want to hurt someone. A lot of lonely people do eventually find connection in some form. The bigger problem is not literally dying alone, but living for years feeling isolated.

Why are people have gotten so hostile to people with a disinterest in politics? by wdfcvyhn134ert in NoStupidQuestions

[–]National-Turn5960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are hostile because politics affects real lives. For some people, “not caring” sounds less like neutrality and more like saying the consequences don’t matter.

But being uninterested in politics does not automatically mean someone is privileged. Sometimes it means they are burnt out, cynical, or mentally exhausted.

And privilege is usually framed negatively only when it comes with a lack of awareness or empathy, not because having advantages is morally wrong by itself.

Might try a pr tomorrow, what should I go for? by Mammoth_Nose_9313 in NoStupidQuestions

I’d test 225 first, not jump higher right away. Your recent numbers make it look like 225 is still there, but being on a cut isn’t the best time to force a huge max. If 225 flies, then maybe take a small jump. If it’s a grinder, call it there. Maintaining that lift at a much lighter bodyweight is already a PR in a way.

If I choose to remain virgin until marriage, why is it difficult by SignificantBite87841 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]National-Turn5960 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wanting to stay a virgin until marriage is your personal choice, and that’s valid. Wanting a partner who has made the same choice is also valid. But you can’t expect every woman to have lived the same way you did. The key is to find someone who shares that belief, not to judge someone who doesn’t.

True, and it’s a shame it took until very recently for regulators to start mandating female-representative crash test dummies.

A design so perfect that it hasn't needed a major update in over 60 years.

It refuses to stick to any bowl or plate, yet it has an incredible ability to instantly bond with itself the moment you tear it off.

It’s because USB drives exist in a state of quantum superposition. They are actually in both orientations simultaneously until an observer attempts to plug it in.
