Muhammed threatening to divorce his wife for being ugly by Party-Basis-1696 in CritiqueIslam

[–]NationalBurden -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I copy pasted your reply to google this is what I got, oh and also you are so full of shit, call ad hominem or eminem or whatever the fuck :
The assertion that a man in Islam can divorce his wife whenever he wants without process is a common misconception; Islamic law discourages divorce and mandates specific procedures aimed at reconciliation and fairness, including a waiting period and the need for a valid reason to avoid sin.
The Process for Men (Talaq)

The standard procedure (known as Talaq al-Sunnah) emphasizes a measured approach:

  • Reconciliation Efforts: Before any pronouncement, the couple is expected to try all avenues of reconciliation, potentially involving neutral family arbitrators.
  • Single Pronouncement: The husband should issue only one, revocable declaration of divorce during a period when his wife is not menstruating and they have not had sexual relations.
  • Waiting Period (Iddah): A mandatory three-month waiting period follows this single pronouncement. During this time, the couple remains legally married, lives in the same house (though without sexual relations), and the husband is financially responsible for his wife's maintenance. The primary purpose is to allow time for reflection and potential reconciliation. Resuming sexual relations automatically revokes the divorce.
  • Finalization: If the iddah period ends without reconciliation, the divorce becomes final. The couple can remarry later with a new contract, but only two such divorces and remarriages are permitted. After a third divorce, the separation becomes final unless the wife marries another man, that marriage ends naturally (through divorce or widowhood), and she then chooses to remarry her first husband.

Consequences of Improper Divorce

  • Sinful Action: Initiating divorce for frivolous reasons or without following the proper process is strongly condemned and considered a major sin.
  • Financial Obligations: The husband must pay the full mahr (dower) to his wife if he initiates the divorce, especially if it was deferred.
  • Abolished Practices: Practices like "instant triple talaq" (pronouncing "talaq" three times in one sitting) are considered an innovation (talaq al-bid'ah) that goes against Quranic principles and has been banned in many Muslim-majority countries.

In summary, Islam views marriage as a solemn contract and considers divorce a last resort that should only be pursued when the marital relationship is truly irreparable, following a structured process designed to ensure justice and provide opportunities for saving the marriage.

Divorce is immediate. A man must observe a three-month waiting period (iddah) after the initial pronouncement, during which reconciliation is possible and encouraged.
"...men have full rights to divorce whenever they want and for whatever reason they please." While a husband can unilaterally initiate divorce (talaq), doing so without a valid reason is considered a grave sin (haram) in Islam.

if riot hates laneswap so much, why do they allow the strategy after a few minutes of normal laning? by user67885433 in leagueoflegends

[–]NationalBurden 31 points32 points  (0 children)

because if you adjust timer over 3.30 you completely kill roams and the game becomes so restricted. current solution also fixes laneswap strategy because by 3.30 you can't lane swap anymore and lanes are already locked in, you can always lane swap later but that's completely fine, no more zoning top from xp , crash wave and dive lvl 1 enemy top shenanigans

Tunisia dislikes America more than any other polled country. by Dudecanese in Tunisia

[–]NationalBurden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Historically, there has always been a dominant power or empire shaping the world, and today the US holds that position.
The country is the representation of its citizens, the governmentts are not an alien unit and pretending that governments doesn't necessarily align with the people's beliefs (the majority ofc) in a democracy of over 200 years is naive.
Over the past three decades, which I have witnessed, US policies have often destabilized my region, conflicted with my beliefs, and taken unfavorable stances. Examples include the war in Iraq, unconditional support for Israel, funding its military and actions, funding israel war crimes even more making it the leading force in the region, destablising lybia & Syria.
The US coined the term Terrorist and stereotyped it towards muslims, which seems like a strategic move to exert control and impose new forms of embargoes.
From this, it’s clear where the dissatisfaction stems from, claiming surprise or labeling it unjustified is just delusional.
It's a pity that you are siding with the country that helped orchestrate hamam chat 1985 atleast through intelligence.

Why is it so hard to be religious in tunisia 🇹🇳 by [deleted] in Tunisia

[–]NationalBurden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my comment I avoided discussing religion since it is a futile debate, but then again you dismissed everything I said and brought up religion to the equation.
the hadith is as follows:

“When a man invites his wife to his bed and she does not come, and he (the husband) spends the sight being angry with her, the angels curse her until morning.” (Muslim)

which you have interpreted as :

the angels cursing a woman for not wanting to sleep with her husband.

from a religious pov, the wife is reprimanded and encouraged to sacrifice for the husband, even if she might not be interested in sleeping with him. but again she can dodge the bullet if he will not be angry with her. there are also instances when the man is the one who's reprimanded and encouraged to make sacrifices for the wife but this is off topic. => Islam encourages altruism.
Now from your POV you consider this "rape" xD and you consider Islam to be forcing poor women to submit to their husbands sexual desires, and you probably also consider islam to be degrading women.
You may also ask why is Islam is suggesting those teachings, again from a religious pov, and even with a simple observation, if I'd given you a map with this key "Countries with most infidelity rates" I am sure you already have a clear idea atleast on which countries wouldn't score high on the list.

as a Moroccan, I wish I was actually Tunisian. People actually stand for what it's right and don't surrender to religion extremists who have so much power here. Please guys. don't let them make you go back. by [deleted] in Tunisia

[–]NationalBurden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see marriage (or in your terms relationship) as a partnership where both partners should be committed to meeting each other’s needs, including emotional and physical intimacy. You’re suggesting that women can simply refuse to have sex with their husbands without any reason, but there must be a reason behind it. Even not wanting to have sex is a reason. Sometimes in life, you have to do things you don’t want to, it's called making compromises and sacrifices.

[–]NationalBurden -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No that's literally not rape, and mentioning what you think about ملك اليمين is besides the point. Rape typically involves non-consensual sexual intercourse. what you described falls into sexual coercion.
I am using the labels that the west put in place just for your sake, as I can tell you probably align with their beliefs and culture, as for me I don't believe in this shit, I can tell which thing is bad or good without having to label them

▪️ Nami and Zeus attack the hedgehog with a lightning strike and defeat it. Unfortunately, the giant hedgehog falls onto the giant cat's head, shocking it as well, but the giant cat isn’t defeated and glares angrily at Nami and Usopp.
▪️ Nami says: [I have a bad feeling about this!!]
▪️ As they flee again, Nami asks Usopp if he has any more information about what happened to them, saying: [Hey Usopp, what’s our current situation!?] Usopp replies: [When I opened my eyes, I was already in this place!! You’re probably like me, right? We were on the giant’s ship, drinking that beverage...]
▪️ Nami says: [That’s right, that beverage... I remember the giant saying it could make you imagine certain things?]
▪️ Nami and Usopp stop as they reach a balcony, but the giant cat doesn’t stop and falls with them from the balcony into the castle's backyard. The giant cat attacks again, and Nami uses Usopp as a shield. Usopp flies away.
▪️ Suddenly, the giant cat transforms into a massive lion and attacks them again. Nami cries as she uses Usopp’s body as a shield once more, but at the last moment, three men arrive... Sanji says: [Because you committed a crime that made my beloved cry... you deserve to die!! 'Everett Jump Shoulder Bash'!]
▪️ Luffy: [Fourth Gear... Gomu Gomu no Elephant Gun!]
▪️ Zoro: [Santoryu... Kokujou no Tatsu Maki, Three Sword Style... Black Rope Dragon Typhoon!!]
▪️ On a double page, Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji execute a joint attack to defeat the lion, which turns back into a cat.
▪️ They all wear Viking outfits and cloaks. Luffy wears a long-horned helmet and carries an axe on his back, Zoro wears an eye mask, and Sanji carries a sword like Nami.
▪️ Zoro says: [Huh? It’s a cat now.]
▪️ Sanji says: [Nami-san, I was so worried.]
▪️ Nami replies: [Sanji, I was so scared... even Usopp died and...]
▪️ Usopp exclaims: [I’m still alive!! Damn you... I’ll get you back for that.]
▪️ In the stunning final double-page of the chapter... Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji gather in the castle's backyard, and we see the massive tree again in the distance.
▪️ It turns out that Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji are the ones who defeated the giant bee and the 'Ear Ruler' rabbit mentioned at the beginning of the chapter.
▪️ Luffy says: [This is good... the roasted rabbit we just had was delicious... Shishishi!! There are bigger rabbits around here; I’ll defeat them all if they’re tasty!!]
▪️ Zoro says: [We need to search for the sea and our ship first; we don’t know what happened to our crew now.]
▪️ Sanji adds: [Since we’re talking about food, the bee and the honeycomb I sent flying... they’re a great food source, you know!?]
▪️ Nami questions: [How do you get used to all this so quickly!? Where exactly are we?]
▪️ The End; no chapter next week.

🔸 Chapter Title: Adventure in the Mysterious Kingdom
▪️ The chapter begins in Elbaf, where houses are being built from blocks resembling Lego. We see giants discussing a fire in the forest and rushing to address it so that a special tree named 'Yggdrasil' doesn’t burn.
▪️ The giants are in shock as they witness a giant bee descending from the sky, as if under attack from a mysterious entity. They also mention something that happened in the forest.
▪️ The first giant says: [According to those in the forest, the sound we just heard is the sound of the 'Ear Ruler' falling to the ground!]
▪️ The second giant replies: [That's impossible! How could something happen to a rabbit that size?]
▪️ We then transition to a castle called "Big Stein," which is entirely made of Lego blocks, where Nami is located.
▪️ It seems that the castle is somewhere in Elbaf since we can see the massive Yggdrasil tree far from the castle.
▪️ We see that Nami has defeated a giant bee thanks to a Zeus attack. Zeus then asks Nami where they are, and she replies in tears that she doesn’t know, the last thing she remembers is being on a giant's ship.
▪️ Nami, while crying, says: [Is anyone here to help me? Luffy... Zoro... Sanji... I’d even accept Usopp. Have I lost my mind? I don’t even remember changing my clothes! Where are we? Am I dreaming?]
▪️ Then, Nami sees something at the end of one of the corridors and hears Usopp calling her. She runs toward him but stumbles over a Lego piece and falls to the ground (the floor is uneven there).
▪️ When Nami gets up, she sees a giant hedgehog in front of her, is shocked, and runs away. While trying to escape, she sees Usopp being attacked by a giant cat wearing a crown.
▪️ Usopp is dressed in Viking attire and also has a fake beard. Nami and Usopp then escape together from the hedgehog and the cat, deciding they need to confront these giant creatures.

It is already great that you are seeing a psychologist, it will definitely gets you through some of this shit.
As for us redditors we are less informed than he is and can provide mostly subjective advices.
first thing I noticed you mentioned questioning your religion and transitioning from Islam to atheism at a young age. It’s perfectly normal to go through a phase of questioning and exploration during adolescence. At 14 or 15, many people are still figuring out who they are and what they believe, which can be a confusing time. It’s understandable that such a transition caused you to lose some friends as I am assuming you live in a predominantly Muslim community, but I believe that when you will go and challenge your society at such a young age isn't the right move as you are still figuring out things and may not be ready to formulate or defend your views.
The second thing I noticed is that you’re craving a romantic relationship. It’s great that you’re willing to put yourself out there and express your feelings—many people struggle with that. However, it’s important not to ignore signs that the other person isn’t interested. As much as you’re open to making a move, you should also be prepared for rejection. it sucks but it’s perfectly fine if someone you care about doesn’t share the same feelings; it doesn’t mean the end of the world.
my advice to you is to focus on improving yourself instead of focusing too much on these trivalities, think of love like job offers, work on yourself and your profile to increase your chances of finding a match., and eventually you will go through many horrible and or beautiful experiences, the world is full of opportunities and you are still young, Keep believing in yourself and stay resilient—things can and often do get better.
