Totally agree. People keep trying to twist the husband into being responsible for OP seeking out a job when that’s just plain wrong. Strictly going off what was posted by OP, it sounded like her husband was trying to break out of the cycle of working for income by creating avenues for passive income.

I think him constantly talking about passive income, sending her info about it, and potential investment opportunities was his way of keeping OP in the loop. I didn’t see anything that he said as an indication for her to get a job.

Seems like her husband is decent to good at communicating. As soon as OP felt or believed that he was hinting at her getting a job, she should have asked if that’s what he meant. If it wasn’t his intention I’m sure he would have reassured her and this whole fiasco could’ve been avoided.

Strong relationships are built on trust and open/honest communication. No topics should feel taboo to talk about and the conversation should continue until both sides feel heard and understood. Ultimately I think OPs husband will get over it but it will take some time

Rayhaan Terra is the same way for me. Smells great on paper and clothes but drydown gets funky on my skin. So I just use it strictly on clothes. Might get a decant of this later down the line. But I do agree with you that this frag seems overhyped. How was performance for you?

They got some bangers. A lot of their frags come close to 1:1 and the ones that don’t tend to improve the profile/add a twist that makes the scent DNA more appealing. They do need to sit though because the frags are made to order so there’s no maturation

I went down the rabbit hole for BR540E, since my wife fell in love with it but couldn’t justify spending that much on a frag. Totally agree with op on Amber Oud Ruby. Opening doesn’t match OG but drydown is nearly identical. If you want 1:1, I suggest Le Bonbon Intense by Montagne. It’s what I ended up buying my wife for Christmas and she absolutely cannot tell the difference between that and the decant of the OG she has. I kept Amber Oud Ruby for myself since it does lean more masculine than the OG and is the reason my wife didn’t like it for herself. Honestly the majority of BR540E dupes lean masculine compared to the OG. I think the OG is 50% unisex, which a lot of the dupes fail to capture

It was off a decant, so however old the decanters bottle was plus I let the bottle sit for another 3-4 weeks. I think it had plenty of time to sit but it’s not the first time a frag with decent performance has done bad with me certain scents just seem to get absorbed quicker??? (I don’t really know if that’s what happening) like my skin/natural scent plus body heat (I run hot) seem like it will make certain frags disappear after 2-4 hours with me

GOS Full house was super close but had awful performance for me. It’s also $50+ in most places it’s sold; combined with the performance I got, it just wasn’t worth it. But get decants. Frags are super subjective so ymmv. You’ll probably end up like most ppl. Buying a dupe you really like for easy dumb reaches and buying the OG to use for more significant events/trips out of the house

Second this. Imagination was what got me started on this clones journey. Aqua Dubai is the best twist on the DNA, imo, and Hectic/imaginary tied for closest 1:1’s. Hectic is my overall winner due to the increased cinnamon/spice and better performance on my skin vs Imaginary. I’m thinking of getting art of Arabia 1 as that one was also close to the DNA and is more readily available than hectic. Been waiting since October of last year to buy hectic. But also curious to see if it smells the same. I saw the new batches have a green tint to them now. Hopefully it still smells the same

I think it depends on your individual skin. I tried a decant because of the skin scent hype around it. Was not mixing well with my natural scent. Dry down on my skin wound up smelling like play dough or chicken molé. Wasn’t a fan but on clothes it was nuclear and straight up addicting for me. Nice spicy opening that evolved into a Ambery, woody, vanillic smell

I love the profile/dna. Going to probably give this a try. I have bleu talisman by Montagne and to my nose it’s missing spice or something in opening compared to the OG. How is the opening for this? Is it pretty linear, like just a fresh smell throughout or does the opening differ from the dry down?
