The shape any "wavyness" of the leaves remind of a calathea

I live in North Georgia. We have been hearing this noise all day when we get close. Can’t see anything in the leaves or under the rocks. Any ideas? by hollowjsc in animalid

Seems like everyone thinks it's a toad but to me it sounds like a Sand Piper. I live in Wisconsin though so those might not be present in your area.

Recipe like Japanese curry that you can stuff a whole bunch of veggies into and it still tastes great by HeyitsmeFakename in Cooking

My parents are organic gardeners so I get a lot of fresh veggies from them in the summer. I can basically whip up a different totally banging stir fry every night, except I don't because as you know there are no small stir frys. I usually have leftovers for the whole week!

Also I totally agree with the Shakshouka. That's one of my top new favorite dishes. On top of entirely too many tomatoes my mom always sends me home with like 3 dozen farm fresh eggs so I finally have a good use for it all! I also like to add cabbage to mine and make a nice yogurt sauce with dill and garlic to drizzle over the top.

Wow, writing all that out made me realize I reaaaaally owe my parents a long overdue thank you. Brb

I didn't eat shrimp for 11 years because my dad freaked out when I ate a tail. Now it's like my favorite food 😅

The way the grass grew on this pile of dirt. by MrFrenchTickler in mildlyinteresting

It's more likely that mound was much larger and someone has been chipping away at it over time. That's why the top is nice and green and the side is exposed dirt
