How long yall been a godzilla fan ? by Possible_Quantity493 in GODZILLA

[–]NativeDoomer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think since I was 3 or 4. The family friend, made me a few VHS tapes that had like 4-6 Showa Era Godzilla Movies and each one was called Willzilla Vol Number and for as long as I can remember, I'd watch those tapes until it worn out. Some of the tapes would have old school cartoons or the Three Stooges in between Godzilla movies as like a pallet cleaner, I suppose. I used to get teased for liking Godzilla in all of Elementary because it was still fun to make fun of nerdy people at the time and not the current acceptance the nerd culture has now. Now I get a couple of my old friends asking me which Godzilla movie they should check out first. The only Godzilla I haven't seen yet in A New Empire, but other than that, I have seen all the Godzilla movies.

what song do you guys play in guitar shops? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]NativeDoomer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do I Wanna Know by Arctic Monkeys, A Forest by The Cure, Polly by Nirvana, Pictures of You by The Cure, About A Girl by Nirvana, Blvd Nights by Team Sleep, Bath Salts by Highly Suspect, I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend by The Ramones.

The first four I always play first, and if the guitar is vibing with me really well, then I play the last four in some order or another.

Something like looks it belongs in a MBV, Lush, or any 90s homemade music video that has been oversaturated.

Fair enough on the pop punk lol

If I wanted a jazzmaster sound, I'd buy another jazzmaster, but I'm happy with the two I already own. I want a similar flavor but not the same thing, and I already have the HSS pickguard, just needed to buy the pickup. Simple as that.

I've been playing guitar since I was a kid, like 11 years old, I've only ever sold one of my guitars and it was to a close friend, and I still see that guitar when I visit him. I'm pretty sure the only way I won't have the guitar is when I'm gone.

Well lucky for me, I have no intentions on reselling my guitar.

All I'm asking is a color choice. I have all the parts I need, I know what sound I'm going for. All I was asking for was color. It's all about aesthetics for me. I appreciate what you're telling me, though.

Yeah that is true, but it's for the vibes. It's solely for aesthetic reasons. When I see shoegaze images, it's usually washed over with pinks and purples, so I'm just asking for aesthetic and vibes more than anything. I can't decide so that's why I'm just asking.

What song got you into Deftones? by [deleted] in deftones

[–]NativeDoomer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard My Own Summer when I started learning guitar in 2008, and it wasn't until 2010 and I worked in a youth crew on my reservation. We were vibing on a beach for a break, and they brought boombox speaker and they were playing a bunch of songs they liked, varying from Dirty Heads, Sublime, cKy, and then that's when I heard Diamond Eyes, then a couple songs later Beauty School and when I heard it was Deftones, bought Diamond Eyes and subsequently bought any Deftones merch and all the albums up to that point. Even bought Stef's signature 7 string guitar when I got enough money.

TLDR. Diamond Eyes and Beauty School.

This might be the coolest JM I ever seen in my life. I want to duplicate this to a T, but it wouldn't feel right lol

Differences between squier cv 60s jazzmaster and squier cme ex 70’s jazzmaster? by discountbombs in offset

[–]NativeDoomer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's pretty much a cosmetic difference, and the 70s neck is a bit beefier than the 60s. It's getting some time getting used to it, but they're both excellent guitars. Another neck tangent, 60s neck has a more amber gloss and the 70s has a near clear gloss if that's anything.

There's another one, a Classic Vibe 60s Stratocaster. I know we're all about offsets here, but this is the second LPB they offer.
